There's a particular hosta that falls in my blind spot, mirrors can't see it, can't see it out the back... it's right where the side flap of the softopper sits... I only was allowed to backup once with the softopper in place... Now she gets out, folds it up for me, and spots me as I round the corner with that hosta lol

I tried it at 80 mph for 10 miles and it was still there. Lol. So it's safe to say it works. I love this thing!

Any silver trucks with gray toppers? Trying to decide gray or black.

Drove at 75mph for a while with no issues. Only thing down was the front where the window meets the cab and I did install the 3 snaps for the flap to the bed...for the record it was a long desert road in the middle of nowhere

This was of course on a private, closed course, correct? (per forum rules)

I remove the front and rear windows and drive w/ the sides buttoned down or rolled up all the time. Just did a road trip to Montana from Colorado like this. I've had the top for 2 years now w/ no issues.

OK... is it just me, or does everyone with a long bed and a Softopper always take out their passenger bedside because of the visibility (lack thereof) on this topper??? LOL

I say always but I’ve only done it twice... still a lot for me.

Once was a mailbox, the other my trash can. If I’m actively looking in my side mirror I have no blindspot... but damn it when I’m in my driveway I don’t look as carefully lol

Anyone else struggle with that spot?
Maybe short beds not so much but I have a DCLB.

Obviously being more mindful is the fix, I just want to know if other people share my struggles.

Softopper arrived within a couple days of ordering it and I had it installed in under an hour. I did notice that a couple of the springs for the button attachments for the cross bars were a bit weak. I went ahead and assembled it and hope everything will be fine. I haven't decided if this position is the final one or if I should try to move it closer to the cab.

Just got mine on yesterday! I love it. I cant get the front flap any kind of tight though. It is super floppy is that normal?

You may have the rails sinched too tight. Loosen them up a bit and see if that helps

Ya i thought so too so i let some out and it is just barely snug now. Still floppy. The sides and back are just right though. Its like the front is a couple inches to tall. I might unsnap the front and reapply that flap a little higher on the velcro

I just installed mine and the front didn't seem really tight but took it for a short drive at about 60mph and had no issues with everything all buttoned up and then drove back with the sides and back rolled up and still no issues. I do think I need to realign the rails though. I didn't do a very good job of getting them even from front to back.
