Make sure and Velcro or attach it somehow. I did not and it slaps against the cab when driving and it is beyond annoying!

I think i know what you're talking about. Mine hugs the bed and angles down. I've already drilled the holes for the button snaps as well.

    Thanks for the advice.

Also, are you guys using the middle hole for where the pin holds the softtopper? Anyone use the bottom pin? Picture for reference.

I usually only roll up the sides when I'm towing. The blind spots are terrible for backing up a trailer.
    IMG_20180622_151457.jpg

I also just used it today. Went from up, to down, in about 60 seconds. Loaded the walls for my tub and after getting it out of the bed had the topper back up and in place in under 2 minutes.

I just can't imagine not having one now... If I move on to another truck I'll probably go with a hard folding or rolling tonneau just for trailering visibility and the ability to lock it and secure items but I'll really will miss the extra height of this setup. For the price it can't be beat.

Looks like it should be closer to the cab. Or you want it like that?

Thanks @Sixthelement for posting that. Hopefully this can help others decide how far forward or back they want to mount it.
My reason for installing so close was due to the gap creating noise and wind drag. But your installation is correct and from the instructions.

Just kinda how it sat when installed. I did buy mine used too. Plus I already have enough wind noise from my KC lights, I dont even think the soft topper is making much noise at all.

Something is not quite right. That topper should fit closer to the cab. If you move it forward, it won't fit along the back like it's suppose to. Are you sure you got the right one?

I bought the softopper primarily for shade for when the pup rides in the bed. I'll roll up the sides, "safari" style, when I take the pup out.

How do you guys roll up the sides/rear? Inwards? Outwards? What's the cleanest/best way of rolling up the softopper? Bored on a Sunday and was wondering.

Truthfully, if softopper made a "safari" only canvas, i would probably buy it.

Something I do. With the sides, I'll fold the corner near the rear and roll it up. For the rear I'll fold in the sides just a little bit and roll it up into the inside of topper. Seems to be the cleanest way I can figure out.

Or sometimes I'll just remove the front and rear panels completely with the sides rolled up.

Not sure why, the guys voice annoys me. But this where I got my tips for rolling up the topper.

His voice is like, he's from Boston, but moved to the south somewhere, and has a lisp with a new invisibrace in his mouth.
    Otherwise, good tips!

i wanna make things a decent temperature for my dog back there in the summer on long trips. thinking sides rolled up, and some sort of heat reflective material for the inside top of it. anyone do this? also has anyone set up a way to monitor the temp inside the back of the truck from the cab? she stays in a secured Ruff Tough dog crate during transport.

Get a roll of reflectix and you can run it across the top. Between the rails and the fabric. Can make pieces to velcro to the sides too.
