True, but I wouldn't really want to put my dog back there with the windows removed. I love my dog, but she is kind of dumb and would jump out the first time she sees a cat or squirrel. If your dog has no problem staying in an open bed, then go for it. Not much wind protection on long trips either.

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
Can you post a shot of the mounting locations? Trying to figure out how it attaches with glass. Was told it wouldn't lay flat but yours looks good!

exactly. I haven't slept in my softtopper yet... but plan to for the Rock Therapy trip in May out in Moab. If it's nice I'll just put the mesh rear in... but I'm hope'n to be able to buy the "doggy door" front which would help too. though honestly even if it rains don't think it'll be too bad with everything down. I think it'd only be uncomfortable if it was a hot night.

Nope did not know that... the only time I've been to Moab was in the winter on my motorcycle... and dust wasn't the issue

    :threadjacked: off...

I just e-mailed softtopper to see if they know if it's possible to dye a softtopper... the previous owner bought a grey one and it's faded and kinda dingy... figure I'll clean it and then try dying it but unsure if it'll work with the topper being water repellant. anyone know?

I doubt it. If I remember correctly, they are vinyl coated which would not allow the dye to permeate the fabric evenly even if if it is really worn. That would be really cool if it was able too be dyed though. Post the response from softopper when you get it please.

Here's the dog window option... don't see it on their site anymore so maybe they stopped making them... I sure as hell hope not.

huh... maybe just displaying that way for you... cause the mirror def isn't on the bottom for me... and the tan part with the 3 snaps is on bottom (clips hanging above the window)

but yours looks like that? does the center section not roll up individually? looks like those clips are for the center section only

Thanks for the info guys. Still not sure which way to go. They both seem relatively easy to fold down, which I expect to do often- maybe easier with the softopper because you don't have to take out and store windows. I really wish the Bestop had mesh inserts for the windows. It would be a no brainer then. I know I saw mesh rear window for the softopper though.
