Here's how it looks when you remove the logo, if anyone is interested

    Sweet thanks.

Dont take offense to this, now that I see it I think I'll leave the logo on. Not that it looks bad, its clean looking. But now that I see it, the badge seems to help break up a large space.

Truck looks great for an 06. From the profile you would think it's a 2.5 gen.

So this “thing” you did.... is it possibly something you’re going to make again?

Thanks! No offense taken. I kind of agree so I left the other side on, also because I still wanted to support the brand and I always see people reading the logo and taking info. Amazing how much attention these things get.

I bought my 06 a few years ago from an older gentleman that only but 66k miles on it and kept it garaged. Got it for a great price! It's a prerunner, but I've been on plenty of nasty terrain in California and have a blast with it.

God no! Hoping this one works for me for a long time.

I do plan to attempt to fab up a swingarm setup off the back passenger corner for an ARB 2000 awning.
This way I can have the awning travel on the passenger side, as well as deploy from that side.
Then be able to swing it around to the back, lock in place and deploy it over the tailgate.

You can always sew, maybe even glue, on some of your own patches to the softopper

Joined the crew today, and added a third brake light before even leaving the driveway. It’s a pet peeve of mine when a truck has their third brake light blocked/not wired up for whatever reason.

Same principle, fairly different approach due to my rack is aluminum and has some funky angles involved.
I was standing in the driveway in a heavy downpour yesterday holding my hands up to it trying to see what it will take.

    I hear ya!

Honestly, I couldn't find anything commercially available that I liked or wanted to pay for. Certainly didn't want a bolt together unit, and I never saw anything fully welded out. In the end, I was able to design what I wanted and put my TIG to good use.

    Yeah...........
I hear you. I’m going to see if my buddies can cut me out a rack for a softopper with their huge CNC machine.
    They already make roof racks

How do you have it attached to the topper? What do you do when you remove/fold the topper?

This is what I bought. Got the idea from somewhere in this thread. It has a strong adhesive backing and I stuck it directly to the window. Wiring is tucked up in the Velcro and ran down to the drivers side tail light. I have a two wire quick disconnect for when I wanna fold it down or take it off.

Any advantage attaching to the window vs the topper? Do you have the third brake light on a quick disconnect if you remove the window?

I felt like the light would adhere a lot better to the window. If I wanted to remove the window, the third brake light and wiring would all come off with it too.

I didn’t think about removing/rolling up the window but I don’t foresee ever doing that. If I find it being an issue I can just wire in a new light, since they’re so inexpensive.
