I'm waiting on an email back from a guy about his used Softopper, any chance you'd be interested in selling the clamps for a 1st gen?

I can but it's cheaper to call a Leonard shop the company that makes camper shells, they sell the for 5.50 a piece. By the time you pay me to ship them you'de be able to have them locally. Just let me know.

Oh cool thanks for the heads up. I wasn't sure if they were something special for the softoppers but that makes sense.

So uh, no one wants to pull some quick measurements for me?? Just need dimensions of the frame work that sits on the bed rails to see if the Bestop top will work on 1st gen double cabs. I already ordered a Softopper but it would be good to know for future readers.

I had the same idea when I was In the soft top market about 6 months ago. I ended up buying a softopper because I was told by bestop that it wouldn't work because the height of the 2nd gen super top was different, I can't remember if he said it was too tall or too short.

I searched and searched for 2 weeks because I could never find a solid answer, nor could I find anyone who had tried it. When I did call bestop the people I spoke with never seemed to be 100% sure on their answers. I'm still convinced it could work but at the time I didn't want to try it then send it back if it didn't work. I think you should try it for all of our sakes. If it did work I would switch to the super top, but just because of the aesthetics. I like the shape better and the side windows. As far as function my softopper has been amazing!

It was about 4ft tall and about 2ft wide/ depth. It might fit in the back seat of a small car, Just guessing
