You can then get a SUV tent to put at the back of the truck to give you a living room attached to the sleeping area... If you go camping, you can put your gear in the SUV tent, back up to it with the truck and sleep in the back of the truck. Then when its time to go into town, or offroading, you just unhook the tent and drive off leaving all the gear you dont need to have with you in the tent.

Before I got my soft topper I got a rightlight bed tent. I have yet to use it, but I do eventually plan to get the SUV tent to add onto the back so I can take the kids camping. They will sleep in the bed of the truck and I will sleep in the SUV tent attached to it. I have not yet tried putting the bed tent on with the topper folded down yet, so I may end up having to remove the topper, but thats easy to do. I figure this is way cheaper than even renting a camper for a few days... plus I can store it in my basement.

That looks rough, though if I didnt have the kids or wife with me, I would probably just put a sleeping bag and pillow in the back and call it good.

    Steve,
I know this is a very old thread but how did this dimmer hold up? And where did you end up mounting? I'm assuming in the bed rear tool box? Thanks in advance!

Mobtown just released their bedrack meant to work with a softopper. Uses the same crossbars as prinsu, and perfectly flush with a prinsu on the cab of the truck. Side panel is removable aluminum. Saves weight, as well as corrosion resistance if you need to add holes.

It was designed for easy removal, which is a big point of going with a softopper anyways, right? Just undo the two bolts at each corner, and comes right off.

This is the first one, and are available for order with a current lead time of 12 weeks. Will get more pics and a weight in the coming weeks.

The production crossbars will be anodized black.

Play with the straps tension, rear first then fronts.

Does it still have that wrinkle when you undo all of the straps?

Maybe switch the hole position of the locking pin. Move it up a hole.
