Black or grey?

 

Started a deep clean of my softopper yesterday. Using Chemical Bros convertible top cleaner and sealer. I'll post finish pictures once the whole job is done.

 

Nice. Busting out the dual action huh?

For real tho, the Can-Back soft topper has an internal metal frame, it attaches to the outer rack using bolts through the canvas. Look at my build thread for more pics of the topper.

 

Very recent addition to the truck... really like it so far. As to install and fitment, it seems to be environmental conditions and frame rail placement that give it the most wackness when trying to get the canvas on. Didn't give me too much hassle and is conforming nicely.

 

This is a grey. My apologies for not mentioning that sooner.

Here’s a little before and after cleaning and dealing with Chemical Guys Convertible Cleaner

 

apologize if its been answered - has anyone had negative affects to the paint due to the velcro strips... or due to removing them?

 

I had mine on for a couple months then removed them. No harm to the paint, just harm to my patience since they were a huge bitch to remove.

 

Had some rain here in LA today. Looks like the 2 coats of Chemical Guys Convertible Top Sealer is doing its job just fine

 

Not that my softopper needs it just yet, but I’m probably going to do this just soon to take extra measure

 

Is that a sleeping platform? Any support in the middle?

 

Yes it is!

No, no support in the middle. Just a pair of 2x6’s and some 3/4” plywood sheets. Holds up perfectly fine and i weigh 190 lbs.
