Full ome lift, nitro charger sports all 4 corners (rear shocks relocated), Dakar pack w/ AAL, 882 coils, diff drop, toytec 1" shackles, trail gear low profile front bumper, Tuff Stuff winch, bamf sliders, RAT skids, BAMF Bed Rack, Tepui Kukenam RTT, RAT rear bumper,

Aside from looking bad ass, what is the plus side for rolling up sides and back?

Visibility... and ease of throwing beer cans (passanger I don't drink) and water bottles into the bed rather than on the trail...

LOL I knew that picture would re-surface... I personally don't mind it... though I see your point... I'm hope'n that when I paint the frame this coming weekend it'll help a little.

Got it on but... I have some concerns about water resistance at the corners. Seems like it doesn't really make a seal. Time will tell I guess... Posting pictures when it is light and the moment is right.

I rolled up my sides and back window a few times for the doggies, but to me, it looks like somebody put an ironing board or a gurney in the back of the truck :boink:

Yeah, The back corners and front corners are possible leak points since you can clearly see daylight shining in, but I have never had any major water come in. Even during this camping trip, most of the water came in through the little storage cubbies. I am still really impressed with the softopper.

Mine is several years old, and on a bright sunny day you can see light through some of the stitching holes... Ive got some seam seal to fix that...

the front corners I have to make sure I really pull down snug to the bed or on the Hwy water will work in... but sitting in a down pour they're fine.

the foam underneath is another weak point and the only place that leaks consistently.... just got some new waterproof window trim foam from Home Depo last night... gonna replace that this weekend.

all in all, even with my screen window in the rear... the amount of water that gets in is minimal... same with dust. not as great as a hardshell, but I've owned 5 of those and only 1 did I never have any leaks.

Thanks! Yeah I was really nervous about the color, since there are no gold (to my knowledge) tacos running tan *shrug*

Very happy with it, might leave it up more than originally planned haha.

I leave mine up all year around. I've heard some people store it away during certain seasons but I need mine to keep stuff dry and somewhat hidden from those "sticky fingered" people. I hope it lasts a long while through these Texas summers. We shall see...

I recomend rolling the windo the other way... that way anything that falls on it, leaves, rain, birdshit, etc doesn't get caught in the "roll" as the roll will be in the inside... just $.02

but damn when I saw you were putting tan on the gold I though... uhh... no good... but I really like the look.

Good tip, makes sense! Thanks for the kudo, I too was worried. I even held it up to the truck after opening to make sure before it was too late to return :)

Putting the Softopper to good use. The reason why i bought this over an RTT or fiberglass topper.

So nice to have that option. Really diggin mine. Need to get my snaps for the front window on tho... Don't think Velcro is gonna work well.
