are your mounting bars on the bed sides equal lengths back from the cab? If one is further back that would explain why only one corner might show this.

It almost looks like your driver side front might be too tight compared to the passenger side. When I am re-adjusting mine after removing it I pull both down tight until the topper is not tight then slowly let them all up until it tightens.

They are def identical. This is the first thing I checked along with the rail distances from the inside of the cab.

I will try that. The tops is also brand new and maybe will work itself out over time. The wrinkle goes away if i pull up on the top corner near the cab.

Yeah from the factory it should be fairly tight and will loosen over time but shouldn't have a wrinkle like that in it. I would assume one corner is not all the way loose enough to pick up that little bit of slack causing the wrinkle.

Also your eyes may deceive you into thinking one side is higher with the taco lean. My truck leans pretty good and it throws off my eyes every time as to what "looks level" which is why I go to the pull it till the topper is loose then back them out till its tight and leave it.

Hey yall, new to the thread. Found a soft topper for pretty cheap locally. Looking for some solutions to the RTT since its currently mounted above the bed. I would need larger/taller rack bars. any suggestions

There are a few companies that make racks specifically designed to go over a softopper. Mobtown offroad is one of them.

Molle racks, will they still mount on the inside with a softopper?

I'm about to find out. I don't see why they wouldn't as they hang below the rail and you can move the clamps wherever you need to

Only thing I can think of is the topper frame right below the swivel point, is what would prevent a molle panel from being mounted. I would check how far away the molle panel is mounted and how far away the topper below the swivel is from the bed.

No. There was one thread linked in here a few weeks ago from March and that’s it. I already mentioned that was when the rack was rolled out and it was growing pains. They’ve sent out plenty of racks since then with no issues. Don’t say “really bad reviews” unless you can back that up.

Lead times are on par with most everyone else too.

Hi everyone! What model of soft topper do you think is best for an 05 Tacoma? Should I get a 2nd gen one or a 3rd generation with a 2nd gen tailgate bar? Doesn't the 3rd gen fit better? What is everyone's thoughts

they just make one softopper for trucks 2005+. you’re likely comparing the older version to the current design, which was updated a few years ago.

and AFAIK the rear panel hardware is only different for the 3rd gen trucks with a 5’ bed, everything else has the straight bar.

How are people attaching and dealing with magnets. I assume glue them onto the velcro strip on the cover? And then do you put anything on the magnet to avoid scratching paint on the tailgate? Ordered my topper his morning!

    thanks!

Edit: I guess something like this?
