On weekends I haul trash down to the dump. I need to be able to reach back there to grab the bags. Afterwards I leave it up to air things out a bit and to be able to rinse out the bed when I get home. And a couple of weeks ago somebody wanted to be a little nosey. The snaps on the drivers side were undone. I figure if they see there's nothing back there they might not have an urge to look.

My dog likes the airflow. We have her in a rufftuff travel carrier strapped down sometimes

Roll the sides up, and then fold the rear ends into the rolled-up rear panel.

Rolling it outside-in is definitely more work but it looks way cleaner.

Safari mode is also useful for hauling wet equipment back from the lake

Well it seems that tucking the tail ends is the way to go. Definitely looks cleaner than the way I've been doing it.

Airflow for me. I sleep in it safari style with a mosquito net thrown over the topper.

I ordered my softopper and I’m thinking of adding toolbox in the bed that won’t interfere with it. Anyone do this already or have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I’ve ask the same question 6 or 7 pages before. The answer was the swing case. I’m still looking for a real aluminium tool box

Rear camera for the win. Aside from the bed being packed with camping gear for 2 dudes and a dog, the dirt made damn sure the softopper rear window wasn't gonna do shit. Same color as the rest of the topper now. Thankful I installed the Vantop front/rear cameras a few months back.

my softopper is on order and i want to have my waterproofing supplies ready for when it gets here. i already ordered the esi rok block for the bottom of the tailgate, what are your recommendations for weatherstripping the bed rails/edges of the topper?

thank you so much for your time.

I layed out the topper inside out and heavily seam sealed every seam, saturating the straps and I used weatherstripping for the tailgate gaps (more for the dust when I'm wheeling since I often sleep in the bed wherever I end up).

This was posted a while back. @MeefZah originally came up with the idea but his pictures aren’t showing anymore. Cleanest way to roll the sides up IMO. PVC with male snaps at either end use that to attach to the sides and add structure to roll the sides up. You’d need a piece for either side but should still be a $5 mod.
