Question - Got the best top about 2months ago, love it. But, has anyone had any problem with the tailgate cover bar not fitting right? Im not sure if im doing anything wrong or what, but I have to basically close it with a gap in it. It doesnt shut properly and only shut well when I had the whole truck packed up moving from NM to Jersey and it was literally stuffed..

yeah rain really doesnt get in (other than the corners.. I gotta seal those up somehow) .. so Ive been lucky with that... its just annoying trying to shut my tailgate and then it gets jammed, then I gotta wiggle the flap and get the bar just right

It really did... I was blown away how awesome it did... I stayed on base and felt comfortable leaving all my junk in there.. the windows are tinted so it kept people honest... protected against all the elements... best $520 ive ever spent. And when the whole thing was backed the tailgate flap fit super tight and secure with my tailgate

Is white still available? Soft Toppers response below.

"Depends on what model you're looking for.

We're discontinuing the white so are out of it in some models."

The answer I received was that while they have some left-over white, they longer make them so they are unavailable for a newer truck…

So, my black top came and was installed yesterday… Very simple, though the directions did leave some unanswered questions.

I plan to take some pictures today that show the areas I'm unsure of, but in the meantime these are the questions:

    1. Top seems to sit too far from the cab with the rails placed where directed (inside corner of front of bed). Has anyone moved those rails forward to close the gap?

    2. Adjustment of plastic clamp for rear flap bar. They are slotted for two screws but nothing suggests what adjustment is intended.

    3. What is done with the front flap when folding down the top?

    Thanks for any ideas.

I plan to take some pictures today that show the areas I'm unsure of, but in the meantime these are the questions:

    1. Top seems to sit too far from the cab with the rails placed where directed (inside corner of front of bed). Has anyone moved those rails forward to close the gap?
I noticed that I had to move mine around to get it fit flush against the front of the bed.

    2. Adjustment of plastic clamp for rear flap bar. They are slotted for two screws but nothing suggests what adjustment is intended.
No real advice there, just screw it in and see what works. You want a tight fit so the back doesn't flap around. Mine takes quite a bit of pushing to get the bar into the plastic clamp but stays in place when travelling at highway speeds, especially with a bed full of camping gear. Only once did the bar pop out and I lost some camping gear, thankfully while offroading and was able to recover the stuff.

    3. What is done with the front flap when folding down the top?
I would recommend unzipping the front and either folding it onto the top before folding down the top, or removing it to protect the clear window (sometimes if folded for a long time it gets that hazy color/scratched)

    Hope that helps.
