Great idea, thanks. I'll look for some clear film for it.
I love all the great tips from the TW community. Helping me keep the truck running well, looking good and spending my money on mods!

Tell me more about those bars! I need something strong to mount a 270°awning that doesn't break the bank.

They are great! i paid $350 for them shipped to Denver from HMO which is in Idaho. you can add some tabs for them to weld on and powder coat but i just had the raw steel with no extras. I plan on adding some sort of platform on top eventually like a prisnu or Yakima load warrior. I also added a thicker weather strip.

The bars just bolt into the bed rails, super easy install even for just my self. I painted mine with the Rusto spray on bed liner($9 a can) did about 4 coats on each. Painting, taking off the soft top, installing the bars, re installing the soft top took me about two hours by my self. Do suggest having another person to help when you put the topper back on. Ive got a 270 degree wing in the garage that needs some repairs and then its getting mounted up there. I can post some install photos here tomorrow in the day light

I’m torn. I love that you posted these because it is a way more cost effective solution for me. I hate that I know they exist because this is in the impulse buy territory and I don’t know how much more spending my gf is willing to deal with.

I was only able to find them new on softoppers website. Otherwise used here or other market places.

Going to order a Softopper for my Lunar Rock TRD Sport soon.

Tan or gray? What’s the consensus on Lunar Rocks?

Haven't rolled it up yet, but I have it placed just below the Velcro so it should be ok. By chance it does get in the way, I can simply pull the magnet strip off the inside of the topper and move it higher up and off the rolled up rear flap. I'll try to get out there today, roll it up and take a pic or two to post.

I went out to roll it up and the brake light isn't in the way at all. It was a little tilted because I didn't roll it up very evenly but no big deal. Again, having the magnets on the back allow me to straighten it if it bugs me. I like having the light at the bottom edge of the Velcro, it allows me to run the wires up through the Velcro instead of cutting a hole for them. Overall, I'm still happy with it.

Thanks! Gives me a little peace of mind knowing I have a 3rd brake light again too.

Following up on this: Height/angle are adjustable up/down based on if the hooks are plugged into the Softopper's rearmost cinch eyelet or into the various height holes on my bed stiffeners.
