Would you be willing to add a pic of the mounts?

So this is kinda half pictures of the mounts. I have the mounts to hold my winch bars right now, but the idea is the same. My winch setup used bars with holes all the way in it, but the rack uses 1 inch box tubing with no holes. I drilled 1 hole in each end of the box and put a rivet nut into those. Then I just run a bolt up into each bar to hold it on.
The mounts are flipped upside down for my winch mount to keep the winch lower down, but when I use them for my rack they are flipped over so the rack sits flush with the top of the bed.

Appreciate it. That's a simple, solid idea.

Its very strong too. My kids sit in the basket, and I sometimes put my kayak up on the rack.

Certainly. Don't think it's going to be that much warmer, though. It'll block wind but it's not really insulated. I slept in -17 to -22°c and was warm but because of my sleep system, not the topper.

Great thanks. I’m ok with gear for the cold but was wondering about drafts and drips.

    thanks,

I've been in multiple torrential downpours for the entire night and been fine. Entry points for drafts are basically the corners, which are easy enough to fill. Everything else is because of the truck, not the topper.

Sorry not sure where to post this. Does Softopper ever run any promo codes or sales of any kind?

For those of you with tan softoppers...

How are they holding up against stains? I have a black one but really want tan. I've seen a couple locally now but they were both dirty, dingy and had stains. I'm hoping this is just neglectful owners and not something they're super prone to but wanted to hear from the group here.

    Just some stuff...
I've had mine for about a year. So far no staining that I can see. Still looks great! All I ever do for washing it is give it a bit of a scrub down when I wash the truck at a car wash. They're pretty resilient from what I can tell. The back window is another story...

Does anyone know if Softtopper makes custom lengths? I have bobbed bed and would love to have one on mine.

I haven’t seen any custom sizes but would call their Customer Service line to be sure. Just be forewarned, I haven’t called them per se, but I’ve heard they are not the best. After Bestop acquired them I’ve heard nothing but complaints when it comes to their call center.

Wanted some type of quick shade setup for my lunch breaks at work off the back of the softopper without having to spend $1k on a standalone awning and a bedrack. I just used a cheap $15 tarp from Amazon and some bungees that have a carabiner on the ends. This specific tarp has loops at the ends that are wide enough to slide over the softopper bar ends. Obviously you need a fence to hook the other end to. I added a few extra grommet holes on the tarp so that I could fold it down like this or use various lengths depending on how far away my truck is parked from the fence.

Cheap quick setup for parking lots. Takedown was a breeze
