Call Softopper and ask. They're super helpful.

I think it's going to work. Length and width range for the topper for either the Colorado or the Tacoma are listed the same as per the softopper specs...going to check it out tomorrow.

Finally slept in the Softopper. Two could fit easily. I left the front doggy window open and just adjusted the rear zippers to get the right amount of air flow. I was surprised there wasn't any condensation build up as well.

Anyone have pics of the dog window? I have the old softopper and would like to see how it was done. Might cut a section out and add Velcro so I can add the dog window.

I have it posted somewhere in this thread. For some reason the photo keeps showing upside down. I'll try and get a different one posted for you.

Here are picture of the dog window.
From the inside looking back. You can see it's about the same size as the sliding rear window.
From the side. The window can be rolled up or left down. I've never had it down. No need to I guess.
From the back looking forward. The two clips secure the window in the rolled up position.

so basically its just cut out and you roll it up when in use? water doesn't get through? i was thinking of cutting like that and adding velcro all around.

Water?! It's Southern California. We're in a drought. It never rains!!

Really though, I never paid attention the few times it has rained. Maybe a little water inside but just droplets. Nothing serious that's going to soak what you have in the bed. As for when it's closed/rolled down, I'd say there is room for improvement on how it closes. The flap just dangles there and blows in the wind. You could devise a method to secure it if you wanted to with Velcro or button snaps like you said.

Notice how the "flap" is about an inch wider than the opening on each end?

I alos have the "flap". No water at all. We've had some hellacious storms this Summer. Frankly I'm surprised at how little water does make it in to the bed w/ the Softopper on.

I'd usually have the dog riding in the cab on the platform I made(access cab) but if he is in the back he likes to stick his head through the window to see what I'm up to. Also, I use it as my waste bin. Banana peels, peach pits, cans all get tossed into the bed through the rear window to be cleaned out later. Really convenient to have.

Yea. My dog stays in the cab if I don't have my topper on or no passengers.

Does anyone with a silver truck have a tan softopper? Never seen a picture of one and wonder how the color combo would look.

How many cubic feet of cargo can you get in a Softtopper short bed and long bed?

Hi everyone - I'm new to TW and to trucks in general. Picked up an '06 DCSB back in June and have used it extensively for hauling and camping this summer, it's been fantastic, makes me wonder why I waited so long! My first mod has been installing a Softopper, so far I am very pleased with it.

I have a question for you all regarding the fit on the tailgate. I can't seem to get the rear corner material to stretch over the ends of the rails and lay snug to the bed corner. I've readjusted the rails on the bed, adjusted the tailgate bar mounts, added and removed velcro etc etc but the rails still peek through on both sides. Any ideas how to get this to fit correctly?

Anyone notice any noticeable mpg drop after installing their softopper?

I did notice when I switch from my softopper to a LEER 100XQ my MPG improved. I think the softopper creates drag at highway speed.
