I'm a bit confused as to why when I look at photos of Softoppers or the various ones I see in person, that some rear windows come nice and flat these days and others are a wavy mess? Is this a QC issue? Did they change materials? Something else? Mine is wavy, doesn't bother me anymore, at this point I'm more just curious.

The contrast of the two trucks photoed above is a prime example.

The rolled up product is my window panel. I have the mesh on now. I have a couple sleep setups depending on weather. Full bed air mattress in summer, cot setup for winter

Depends, I just got a new smoked rear panel/window. It’s pulled a little tighter than the old window because now I have a third gen model topper with a second gen window so the fit isn’t exactly the same but it’s nice and snug.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
It's all about how you fold and store them. And the temperature...;-)

I'm careful with that back panel. when the top is folded down, that window only gets a single fold through the middle.
Two winters, and three summers, All looks good .......

There "appears" to be a difference between short bed and long bed tautness. But I have no real experience with the reality.

I’m sure this has been mentioned before, but does anyone have any fix to the bars sitting on the bed bending inward?

I feel like I’ve tried a bunch of different adjustment but the rails always bent a bit.

When i put my clamps on the rails there is 2 spots on each rail where you can put clamp on without sliding them in from the end.
I leave clamps in those spots and it doesn’t roll the bars inward
Ill see if i can get pic later
