Anybody know how many cubic feet are in a DCSB softtopper?

Mines a Bestop but love the thing so far. I like the windows and the fact that a rear window is included not an extra cost like Softopper. Also I like the powder coated black frame, looks better in my opinion. The quality looks on par with my old Jeep TJ soft top. Hopefully it last the nasty northeast winters.

I'm thinking of doing the same. The glue has left a nasty residue on the tailgate paint. But I noticed when putting on my softopper this last time that the tailgate flap wasn't reaching down as much so I'm not sure I can do the magnetic strip. I hate what the Velcro residue has done to the paint. All dried up and stuff.

Also the Velcro in the front of the bed melted off (apparently it's been really hot all summer!), so the front kept flapping on the freeway. Bought some of those button screws and fixed the problem!

Side windows. The Bestop comes with side windows and rear window, Softopper you need to pay extra for rear window. Also prefer the black frame.

I finally pulled the trigger on a new softopper for my DCLB today. I've been reading and watching this thread for a few months and after doing 2 camping trips this summer I swore I'd finally order one of these to increase carrying capacity.

I was hoping to find one of those lucky ebay or craigslist type deals for $200 but it wasn't going to happen...especially to find someone willing to ship internationally. I ordered from a Canadian vendor that ships directly from the manufacturer in the US for the same price as listed on the softopper website, but in Canadian dollars (important with the exchange right now ~ $90 saved).

I'll post pics when it arrives! My motivation to order now was to install before it gets too cold here. I've read several comments noting how tough the canvas is to stretch when cold, let alone when it's new.

I just got mine, happy so far. Question anyone have a way to secure/lock the topper? I don't want it stolen so easily even though one of its perk is being able to remove it quickly

Thanks. I was thinking of that as well, but it would be so crude looking lol. Was hoping some type of cotter pin lock but that's a small cotter pin to begin with

Received the top only 3 days after ordering...which is amazing given the typical border/customs delays. Installed last night, what a well built product!

Straight from Colorado...but I guess it shows how quickly things can happen when all of the parts of the supply chain work effectively.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
    Nice. Thanks for the idea.

I don't have one but from videos it looks like it just folds forward against the back cab window and stays there, or you can remove it easily.

Full ome lift, nitro charger sports all 4 corners (rear shocks relocated), Dakar pack w/ AAL, 882 coils, diff drop, toytec 1" shackles, trail gear low profile front bumper, Tuff Stuff winch, bamf sliders, RAT skids, BAMF Bed Rack, Tepui Kukenam RTT, RAT rear bumper,

There are clips that connect from the softopper to a corresponding hook on the rail. Works great at keeping he softopper from deploying at random :)

Yes, that strap that holds the back down, gets clipped into the front and you cinch it down tight to keep it from opening up.

Replaced my Bestop with a new Softopper. I'm loving it. I have nothing negative to say about the Bestop. Served it's place and worked great for me. I simply wanted something different.
