Thanks! I had to switch to a fiberglass Snugtop for perceived security & weatherproofness.
The external racks that hold up the RTT are also from softopper & put the tent unnecessarily high. And they are starting to rust. (I'm letting those go too). So, I'm back to the cap with yakima bars for now.

My front window of the ST started flapping like crazy because all the air was being forced down from my RTT so I mounted my front slider bed track over the ST's flap & put the screws through the fabric. Holds great.

It's too bad you aren't willing to ship; I'd pay you the $200 plus shipping for your softopper (with new replacement rear) as I'm in the market but haven't saved up enough for a new one yet.

If you change your mind and are willing to box it all up and ship, then consider me as a seriously interested buyer... :D

Just upgraded from a 2001 to a 2008. Softopper. Want an ARE cx with windoors and vents for the dogs Want a better bike rack for the hitch (the one I have now is cheap but gets the job done)

I will ship mine. Getting a hard top at end of August. Would rather sell my soft topper than let it waste away in my garage.

I did see your listing; I wish I had the funds to buy it, especially since the shipping costs would be lower from you to PA. But at your current asking price I figured my offer of what I could afford would be an obnoxious lowball, so I didn't want to send you a PM and become 'that guy' since I'm new here... :(

I'm pretty new as well. I paid $700, I'm at least hoping to get $400.

Did it myself, was easy enough, took me about an hour? hour and a half?

little disappointed with the snaps for the front flap. centered the middle one and the two side ones ended up on an angle in the bed liner... ill probably put the two velcro strips in between those to secure it more...

Yeah i had to drill out one of the bars to get the pin to set. also the last two snaps were a PITA but it seems fine now.

so i just got back from an 800km round trip with my new soft topper averaging around 120km/hour or 70m/h for the first hour i had the topper all the way up and the front panel that goes against cab window popped out twice because of the wind from that speed. little disappointing but then again 2 of 3 snaps were placed poorly and dont quite snap in. The rest of the trip i drove with all the sides up and just removed the front window since it doesnt roll up.

For this trip i averaged around 15mpg or 15l/100km with 3 passengers and clothing for a couple days. and it got me thinking, whats the most fuel efficient way to travel with the topper? all the way set up? laying down or somewhere inbetween? two tanks before i was driving in the city top up most of the time with a 250lb jet ski in the back about half the time and i averaged 18mpg

I had the same problem, and it's annoying when that flap comes undone since it slams the cab window over and over again at high speeds until you pull over and re-snap it.

HOWEVER, there is a fix: Use both the velcro AND the snaps to secure the flap covering the rear cab window. No issues at all after installing both the velcro and snaps.
