Is it bad to leave the topper folded down all the time inside the protective bag? I don't want it to get moldy, but I'd rather not hassle with getting it back in the bag if I take it out.

Not the way it comes, no. I'm going to run a piece of flat steel from the inside of the box and attach it to the rear utility track. No biggie.

I wouldn't worry. Or just pull the pins and leave it garaged until you need it

^ This. If you are worried about it, just leave it bagged and put it in the corner of the garage.

Actually If I need to remove my Bestop I'm going to try and just remove the clamps and leave everything pretty much intact in my shop, especially in cold weather.

That's a good idea.... Might have to clear some space in my garage, or just leave it because I'm lazy like that

    Everything TW members recommend
I'm going the the Toyota Takeover at Rausch Creek at the end of this month. I'm gonna camp/sleep inside my Bestop Softtopper. It might get HOT inside. Any suggestions on a 12v fan I can acquire. Power is non-issue. I have aux 2nd battery with a cable leading to the bed.
    Thanks

Don't stop at just a cheesy fan. Get the cheesy fan, a bucket or cheap cooler, some PVC or ABS fittings, some dryer vent, some ice, and make yourself an air conditioner.
