If you're unhappy with quality, I'd take it up with the company since you bought new. It shouldn't matter what everyone else sees as fine. You as the customer should be satisfied!

    Kinda thinking along these lines-
    http://chromeglow.com/products/turn-signals/flexible-arrays/led-flexible-arrays-by-radiantz/

Buy a 8-10" strip in red.

Somehow mount it to the inside rear bar (dead center up high) visible from the rear window. I'd run the wires through the frame tubing to a quick connect.

no... and I had issues. I don't know if it had to do with not enough prep, or because the 3m bed liner never really solidified. I let it cure in the sun for 12+hrs, but it still was easily scraped off... if I were to do it again, I'd sand at least, then use normal paint. but I sold the softtopper and have an RTT setup now

Put my Bestop back on. Came with the truck I bought, I really like that the panels come off if needed.

Have not had time to go through the whole thread yet. In need of some help though.

I am purchasing a used 1st Gen softopper for a 99' extended cab. I have to drive some distance to pick it up. So I am wanting to take my 2014 Subaru impreza 4 door sedan to save on gas. Do you guys think with the back seats folded down that I could fit the softopper folded up in the car for transport? Thanks for any insight!

No problem. It folds up quite small.

I had a softopper that was not built for a Tacoma rigged up to mine for a while, but I just bought this one and installed it today. Very happy to have an official product now.

I used this stuff for zippers on my boat canvas for years without a problem.

BTW, I pulled the trigger on a Softopper for my '12 . Hopefully it'll be here by next weekend.

I'm having a problem with my Softopper where the front panel by the cab is being pushed in by wind and caving in. Anyone else experiencing this and have a solution?

Well, good news is I got my Softopper today.
Installation was going way to good.
Came time to snap the driver's side panel and 6 snaps in a row have no female end to em. Left them a message at their 1-800 number.
    WTF.

I put a flat piece of steel in the pocket that sits between the cab and bed. Sometimes it slides out so I added some rubber bands to the steel so it doesn't slide much.

Yep. That blows. Waited a week and a half for it and got the "special" one.
Shot them an e-mail too with pics. I asked if they can send me a half dozen female snaps for me to install rather than shipping the whole thing back.
I used to have boats with canvas so I have a snap tool and know how to install them. Would be a non issue, but all the snaps I have are silver and the Softopper has black snaps.

I bought my tan one used sight unseen and it is missing the front most passenger side upper clip that holds the sides rolled up. What am I gonna do! We both got the specials

It's not even ripped out, all the seams are intact, I think they just missed it.

Had the same problem for the first two hours. Then I realized that I needed to install three snaps inside the front of bed to match the snaps on the backside of the inner flap. Problem solved.

Once you install snap screws for the inner flap, the outer flap hangs there between the cab and bed without so much as a flutter.
