See your type of truck style all over Hawaii. I don't understand all the hate but I think if done right they look nice. Good looking truck OP. An as for being dangerous these trucks pass Saftey inspections all the time and they are very strict in Hawaii to where if you do any mods to your truck you have to get it inspected and permitted so I don't think they're dangerous.

I see a bunch of trucks like this in my area also (Pittsburgh). The only thing is, not too many Tacomas, mostly full-size. Although I have seen a couple Tacomas with this type of set-up (2 come to mind, 1 is a 3rd-gen). Not my style but people are free to do what they like. But my own opinion is that even if I wouldn't do it to my own truck, I still think it is pretty cool.
