That's one of those people that think spending $1000 on an aftermarket part or accessory means your resale increases by that much.

Don't hate and yes to a clean title. It has been sitting in the guys garage for two years because of heath issues. I will post pics soon. Sold a 1995 T-100 4x4 SR5 with 147k to get this one.

Just found this thread, as I'm looking to outfit my new-to-me Tacoma.

For the sake of reference and/or of horror, last weekend I bought a 2000 Tacoma XCab, 4wd, with camper shell, 94k miles, for $12k. Honest to god, owned by a little old lady in Norcal, a retired mechanical engineer no less, original owner, with fifteen years of service records included. She used it on the weekends.

Ironically (to many of you) the only "upgrade" I'm considering immediately is yanking her big Yoko Geolander tires and putting on something better (and less noisy) for pavement. So who wants some modestly cupped several years old tires?

KBB is supposedly based on what the market has been bringing for vehicles in an area. Other services including NADA give decidedly lower values, at least with Toyota trucks. I just bought my Tacoma after looking for several months, and I found the KBB numbers were a lot more accurate in the real buying world than any of the others. Bottom line...if your are buying, you like NADA, Edmunds, etc., but if you are selling you like KBB! If a seller of a nice Tacoma is willing to hold out for a while, he has a good chance of getting the high KBB value, at least in this area (Georgia).

1st gen tacoma prices are outrageous! I'm looking at picking up another 1st gen but I can't justify $10k+ for a truck with almost 200k miles.

You will only get what someone is willing to pay you for it. Not all Tacos bring top dollar.
