how about that POS lift to. it would cost a good bit to cut all that ridiculousness out and put a real lift in.

Literally priceless, they did not post the price on CL or the dealer website but out of curiosity I had to call

"yuuuup twelve thousand and seventy five doolas" the guy said

Let's make a survey about the amount of time it takes to reappear at a Chrysler Fiat Jeep dealer as a trade in to roll the EZ loan into an even larger loan.

Are those... are those... the stock leaf springs? how the hell do you get that much lift from stock springs?

    [checks pics]

oh, a 3 foot long shackle. And no bumpstops... o_O

I like the custom bumper shaped imprint on the tailgate, too.

Single stupidest running boards (not sure I can call them sliders, even if they're mount to the frame) I've ever seen on a Tacoma.

I wonder if they even know it's supercharged, they don't mention it in the ad anywhere that I saw.

When I went to look at my truck the dealer didn't know either, and they were a Toyota dealership. I opened the hood and saw the s/c and was like 'oh...uh, OK' haha

They had just gotten it in as a trade-in the day before and put the ad up on Autotrader

I actually negotiated with the dealership to have it removed, I didn't know jack squat about the superchargers at the time...all I knew was that they required higher octane gas and I didn't want to have to deal with that. I signed the paperwork and they said they'd remove it, I got a call from them a few days later and they told me basically I'd have to take it with the supercharger and they'll take another $2k off the price, or they'll negate the paperwork and I can walk away. So I took with it with the supercharger and the added discount.

I figure they probably had a difficult time sourcing the stock parts needed to bring it back to stock, some of them aren't offered new anymore (I don't think) and I don't know if Toyota dealerships are allowed to source used parts. That's my theory anyhow

haha, little did I know at the time the damn supercharger would cost me at least that much in additional headaches and upgrades to get it running halfway decently. It's a love/hate relationship. I've got too much into it now to go back, unless it blows my engine up...then I might consider that haha.

I think I remember you talking about that. Didn't it not come with the 7th injector or something?

Nope, truck was basically entirely stock except for the supercharger and TRD headers. Pinged like a mofo if you stepped on it, which is no good. Ended up doing the 7th injector which was almost $1k after tax + a few hundred to get installed, then about 6 months after that my cats went bad and I had to get those replaced...most likely because the engine had been running too lean before the 7th injector install and the cats were on their last legs. Been 2 years since I put the Magnaflows in and no issues, fingers crossed.

Still pings if I really step on it under the right circumstances, so one of these days I'll probably add a methanol kit to it. But both the 7th kit and meth kit aren't legal in CA so that'll be a bridge to cross.

By now I've learned how to drive it just right to avoid doing any damage so it's not that big of a deal, but it would be nice to know it's setup properly to not have to worry about it at all.

If it wasn't so far from me, I would go drive it just to experience an SC. But then it might be kinda creepy to drive with the suspension all JACKED Up.

yeah I wouldn't rely on that thing to give you a good idea what it's like. It looks like he's running the smaller pulley too which would give it more power, but who knows if he's done the right fuel modifications to accommodate that. Could be buying a huge headache with that truck, both suspension and powertrain. If he's done fuel mods then I will give him a lot more credit but can't really tell from the pics, and I'm sure the dealer doesn't know jack about it.

Probably has bad cats from the blower and no fuel mods, that's my guess. Or a host of codes.
