With the lift at ride height it'll be ok for sure if you start flexing it out you can expect it to hit mud flaps, air dam if equipt. Won't be much but it's possible. I can confirm I with kiss my mud flaps on occasion with my 265/70 on a 0

Controversial post? I put 265/75’s on my stock steelies, then added some spidertrax spacers. Torqued em to spec with loctite then checked again 50 miles later, still solid. Have done plenty of off-roading in Colorado and New Mexico since then and they’re holding up great. Did I cheat? Maybe. But I love that she has some shoulders now, even if it does sling mud all over the god dang place. And yes these tires rub the mud flaps here and there. IMG_7829.jpg

    Nice pics everyone.

The deep look of negative offset definitely changes things...in what way, heck...I don't know.

I don't crawl on rocks...just do street driving so I guess it wouldn't be too much stress on street traction.

I'm looking more for 0 offset but with some pokie with my Bushwacker fendys.

I'll be visiting Sound FX in Bridgeville, DE for bigger wheels & tires setup.

Mine is the Midnight Black Sporty Spice!

265 70 16s. 2” lift. No rub but haven’t done any offroad yet. But staying with the stock tire size for now, I doubt it will.

The next set of summer wheels may take a hard right from the bronze... or it'll be another set of bronze but in a -38

Man, that looks great. How much do it take to run the -38 with 35s. Doesn’t look like you needed to trim fenders.

    Work in progress...
-10 on the cheap. Honestly I saved up for new wheels, money not a concern, I really can't find any better looking wheels in my opinion. These the Lone Star what ever the Discount/America tire sells. Easy to clean and lasted 5 or so years on/off road so far at about a buck15 each.

Alot if you want yo do it right. Street use you can get away with a cmc and a good alignment maybe extended bump stops to save your flares. But to do it right if you use your suspension CMR fender trim and an agressive front bumper/liner trim.

I say this as my 295's already try to eat my fender flares on occasion.

RRW Bead locks -25 and a 1 1/4 inch spacer - I'm terrible with these photos don't really have any straight front or rear.

I did cmc twice! Every weekend my wife complained that I was hammering and grinding lol. I had to do cmr because I was still hitting when off-road. All are good now. If you’re not on dirt much, aggressive cmc, and UCA with the right caster are fine.

With that said, I’m going back to AT tires after this toyo.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m running 33s now but looking to jump to 35s with around -25 wheels this coming year. I’m in AZ and lucky to have a ton of great trails that I’m on at least once a month. So a CMR is in order for me.

If you already did cmc, I say try that out. My previous set were 295/70/17 -25. I was fully cleared and flexed. Even had a full spare underneath!

No problem all good. Now, this -38 was a bit of work. And to be honest, the size didn’t look too much different to me or maybe I’m just used to it now.

    First post and Tacoma NOOB!
Coming over from a 1st Gen Tundra.
I have some SCS Stealth 6 wheels. 16x8 -25 offset.
The 265/75/16 Falken Wildpeaks rubbed so bad I had to take them off.
    Will 265/70/16 eliminate rubbing issues?
I'd love to keep these wheels and stock suspension.
2023 TRD sport 4x4 DBL Cab.

Thanks for any info for forum/Tacoma noob.

Generally anything past -10 will require a cmc to fit without any rubbing.
You have to think the stock sport wheel is a +33 and your going to -25 that's just over an additional 2 inches of offset
