I just put them on the stock tow points that hang down there and deleted the stock tow hook. Used a few washers to keep that thin hook in the middle of the shackle. Also used a 7/8" pin so I had to grind those out too.

It's a double edged sword: I wanna keep her as stock as possible...as I love the look and originality...BUT..I wish I had all the bells and whistles too (bumper, winch, light bars..etc) butI would have to cut holes into the frame/bumper to mount the goods. :sadviolin:

Haha, my bad. Well we sold all of our shit to buy it & left our careers in LA. Been traveling for almost 6months now. If you can come across a good deal on a used one, that's the way to go. They're stupid expensive new.

I don't get why people try to convince others to leave their truck stock...are you secretly hoping they'll sell it to you someday? lol

For sure, I totally respect someone that wants to keep their truck stock, just not the purists that think others should because they think its sacrilegious to personalize your ride or something.

Not saying anyone right here thinks that way but I've definitely picked up on it in other 1st gen threads. Those guys would hate to have seen how clean my 04 was when I got it a couple years ago, lol.

    Cause it's better stock. :crapstorm:

But seriously, wish I had a stock 1st gen. Still might buy a second one. The mods are awesome, but sometimes I miss the atoxm little truck I bought. That got 350 miles to a tank and was way better in the corners haha
