Hey, im looking into a 2.7l stick.yeah have plans for larger tires n off road after the newness wears off.Thinking the reg cab will save 300+lbs over the access cab which will help when the big tires go on and help feul economy. like the reg cab look and the fact nobody in my area has a reg cab 4x4 just ac cabs or doubles. Actually I've yet to see a reg cab 4x4 taco on the road just the 4x2s.just not digging the bench with no center console.

I wasn't a fan of the bench either but after owning the truck for awhile I have started liking it a lot more. Having the middle seat right there is perfect for putting things. Nothing can get lost in the seat cracks. The only time it sucks is when I drive a 6ft dude around and even then its not that bad.

The rarity of a regular cab is awesome. If you mod it you are likely to be the only one with it in your area. I have never seen another 2nd gen reg cab that was lifted.

Offroad wise, couldn't get much better. The short wheel base is amazing! I am often out with a access cab and while he does fine there is always a time that he has to stop and back up to make a turn through some tight forest roads. Its hard to explain but the first time you take your reg cab out with some double cabs youll see just how much easier it is.

Lastly, the cab feels comfortable. It's odd but I gave a member a ride during the wyo meet and he described it as being hugged. Weird, but it just has a cozy feeling with it being so small. I also think it makes the truck feel like a real truck. Simple, rugged and nothing in excess.

hello, I am new don't know quite how to ask my own question as a thread topic, anyhow I have a standard cab 06 Tacoma with a leveling kit, and tire size is 255/60/r17 I really like the tires but I am going to need new ones here shortly, and was wondering if I could go any bigger, and if so how much bigger could I go? without having to do anymore mods. I would like a beefier tire but taller too. Wheel well looks like I could go another 2" easily but not sure if it would leave me to reset the spedo. truck1_zpsaf0f6b10_268622b8aacbbe48b230bc65dc184074d4433da9.jpg

I know mine isn't as cool as most of the others here, but I love it for what I use it for. Its used for a daily driver back and forth to work.

I just wanted to tell you your truck is why I bought my RC..... Can you tell me about your set-up..... Brands and details? I know your tire size and brand but that's all I could find out. Thanks a ton and again, love your truck. Simple and perfect.
