Thank you for Condensation 101. Haha. I was just hoping for more from this tent that is supposedly well insulated.
I bet the camper set up makes a huge difference.
I see the new 3.1tent now comes with a condensation mat, extra vent, and a telescoping ladder. Guess I have more things to buy.

GoFastCamper (#41), ARB 2500 Awning with Full Room, Mobtown Off-road Sliders and Full Aluminum Skids.
Sounds specifically like these are common and well known for condensation and in an effort to mitigate Alu Cab added a mat and another vent. Obviously Alu Cab is from Africa so the climate there is different than over here. The mat and a fan may be your best bets good luck!

FWIW my GFC had way way way worse condensation issues compared to the Khaya. I credit a lot of it to the quilted ceiling. The GFC was a honeycomb material that was whatever temperature it was outside. Caused an absolute ton of moisture to collect on the roof.

With the Canopy Camper on the back now I don’t need the rear view mirror anymore so I took it off. One of the best thing’s I’ve done. Really opened up the windshield no more blind spot.

Yes. Unplug the electrical connection and one little set screw holds the mirror on. Believe it was a T-20 torx head set screw. Super easy.

Yep I guess it just finally bothered me enough to do something about it. Wish I would have done it a long time ago like you. Makes quite the difference in my opinion. Only took me about nine months lol

    Hey Guys,

I'm leaving for a trip on April 1. Had a canopy camper ordered, signed contract and payment sent. Got a call back days later saying they had oversold and couldn't get me one until May 1. Not impressed with the Alu-Cab sales process. Hoping someone might have one I can buy used in time for my trip. Either color would do.

Located in Massachusetts. Will travel to pick up.

ok4wd has the ability to look at other retailers that have in stock on hand throughout CONUS, I ended up getting mine from a place in WA state, Mule expedition outfitters. They had 3 long bed canopys in stock on hand. support bars and tons of other stuff. also a place in CA , NOMAD ventures in southern ca

No help finding one for you but how did you order? If you didn’t call Rin at OK4WD they were great for me to deal with, if they are who over sold you I am sorry. Personally I think they’re a great outfit. I know that’s where Zayne got his from too.

I went through Ok4wd and had my camper shipped to me and installed it myself.
I have nothing but good things to say about Rin and ok4wd. Amazing dude and great customer service.
The amount of people purchasing the CC in the last few months alone has been crazy. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to organize the production and sale of these campers. That’s the first I’ve heard of something going wrong.
What’s even crazier is that you almost had a camper from South Africa to your truck in the US in a couple weeks vs. a couple years from other manufactures in your country.

Here’s some pics from the weekend for no reason...

I had mine installed by Asheville Vehicle outfitters. PM me if your interested in details.

I had a few issues with the install, I'm talking with them now about how to get it resolved. They have been very responsive.

I'd rather not get into publicly until they have a chance to respond/fix things.

They have been incredibly responsive and do care alot about their customers.

They are building a huge amount of trucks each week, I think a few minor things slipped through the cracks.

Figured I'd make a little video since YouTube doesn't have any of these videos that I can find showcasing reviewing and demonstrating the aloe cab on a third gen Toyota Tacoma at least from what I could find

Last nights camp. We drank some beer, ate some pizza and called in some Eastern Screech Owls into camp. ‘Twas a good night.
It got down to 28°F outside and it was 68° downstairs where the dogs were sleeping by the morning running the fireplace on low all night. I would have to imagine it was in the 70s up top easily.

Couple little projects done this weekend. Remounted my fan for a more permanent solution and got the Frontrunner table mounted on the back door. Bags are riveted to the back door so want to live with the table this summer before deciding on removing the bags.
