Getting ready to purchase a Contour canopy. Has anyone here sourced/installed molle panels for the inside of the side doors?

I was thinking about doing MOLLE … I found that some of the better options were places selling molle for camper vans
    https://vanpartswarehouse.com/produ...zCbUjTo_kbzwpFciucoHBcZ5bvWbo8uBoCdvUQAvD_BwE

You’d have to figure out what size and come up with a clever way to mount

I've got the 1450mm with the standard height 40mm mounting feet purchased from ok4wd. I can't recommend them enough.

I know some people get that size and trim them down the ends if it looks too long. Reason being is that the 1250mm by default looks too narrow on the forward portion of the shell. At least that's what I remember reading somewhere.

I almost got the 1250 but ended up going with the 1450
I’m glad I did . I have the awning mounts from alu cab and then put my chads lights under the small bit sticking out. I’ll get some pictures after work.

I have the 1450mm with the low profile feet. The track tapers causing the rear bar to have more overhang than the front. I recently cut 3” off my rear bar, which makes them dead even overhang where mine are mounted front to back.

Any reason you are not running the diagonal support included with the awning mount? I ended up modifying mine slightly to Mount tighter so I wouldn't have a large gap between my awning and top. During windy days at the beach, the load bar visibly deflects.

My awning is still off for winter but I'll be putting it back on with painted brackets in a few weeks and I'll post some updated pictures.

Are you using the Low Profile mounting feet?

I thought they were a little overkill for my awning. This thing is built like a tank... If I had a 270 awning Id put them on.. but with a standard awning, its not very heavy.

man this looks so good. i've got a very similar looking build to you and i've been waiting a month and a half for my contour with windows. i'm so stoked and this makes me even more excited i chose alu cab over RSI.

Thanks! yeah the waiting is a bummer but it'll be worth it. I'm glad I went this route. Funny enough yesterday I saw one of those Bynd 4X4 caps that there was a whole thread going on and on about. Was not impressed.

haha, i initially saw a "dealer" for them on marketplace selling them and was going to get one before doing any research. sold my leer at top dollar and then did all the research. was on my way to pick up an RSI from a local place but found alu cab at the last minute and switched my directions on maps to go order. haven't found anything bad about the contour and i think it's going to be awesome. RSI has done a good job hitting all the appearance factors but the alu cab is a tried and true option plus the look grows on you more and more. here's my truck as of now waiting for the contour to arrive

    Right on man .
Also heads up if anyone looking, Ok4wd seems to carry most all the alu cab add ons and they have free shipping. I’ve ordered most my parts through them .

I was looking at it all last night and man that s**t is expensive. VERY NICE, but expensive. I almost lost it when I saw the price of the ammo can bars that go across the back. I mean it is two metal angle bars with some cross beams. Anywho, I'll probably end up buying it all, it just makes me feel better to bitch about it first :goingcrazy:

lol oh man yeah it’s crazy . The ammo box bars yeah that crazy. But you should see how spendy the Leitner storage is .
I figured two side storage would be good enough for me and then I’ll kit out the rest bit by bit.

yeah I am going to have to add more later also. Still not exactly sure how I want it so I am hoping the overland expo in may will have some good ideas where I can see it in person before buying. So many diff options and possibilities.
