Let me know if you need any other pics. I'd imagine the alucab awn is probably 60lbs.

May I ask how you made that? Was it pieces that you put together or some custom cnc side panels and brackets to make the same height? I am wanting to do something similar matching the prinsu rack

3rd brake light started smoking tonight at a stop sign. Truck next to me let me know it was letting the smoke out.

Well that's not good. Do you have any other accessories wired up anywhere to the truck? Just wondering why it would start smoking

Looks like there might be a need for a fuse on that…

Whoa, I need to take a look at mine.

Can you share more details? How did you wire your brake light?

This was connected to the right tail light with a t-harness from fbc. Tail lights are led meso tails but the cap and tail lights have been on the truck for quite a while now with no changes. Pulled over and unplugged the deusche connector that I have in the bed to disconnect the light temporarily. I called Mule where I bought the cap and they had never heard or seen this happen before. They pulled a light for me off a unit they had on hand and I just picked it up about 45 minutes ago. I plan on dissecting the light to see if I can figure out what caused the failure, clearly it shorted out but would be nice to know the cause.

I would like to know what caused it too as I am about to order the harness and do the same thing as well. Please do update us on your findings
    Thanks

It’s an internal short in the light assembly itself. You can see some corrosion on both the board and the back portion of the light that stayed attached to the canopy upon removal.

Did you have any leaks/cracks on the light case? Strange it would short like that or what caused that short

nothing visible. Not sure if it was because of the heat but when I pulled off the original damaged light off the canopy the white sealing material stayed glued to the canopy.

My camper lived outside through two summers of Phoenix, AZ heat and I haven't had this issue, yet. Not saying it isn't the cause though.

I meant the heat from smoke/fire not outside temperatures. We get lots of rain so I’m not surprised that water would find its way in. You can clearly see the green discoloration on the circuit board on this pic. This was on the second burn area towards the drivers side of the light. The main damage was all at the other end but the light and chrome plastic was clearly distorted under the red cover.

I’ve looked at all the pages and I just got the contour and wanting to see if any of you guys have any great diy for the canopy. Particularly the interior setup for gear, etc.

Planning...suspension, front slimline bumper, winch, full skids, 2" lift, SCS Ray 10's, Pizza cutters, Power Tray, Switch-Pro, Alu-Cab Contour Canopy.
I am building mine out now (hunting truck) with cupboards, bed rug, led lights, EcoFlow Batt, Handwashing station, tools, solar, etc, etc. I am probably a month or two away from being done and right now it does not look like much but it will soon.

Figured I'd post pictures of the chair carrier for the contour since I couldn't find any to help me decide on buying it. Overall I like for what it does. Have the ammo slide ill be installing today as well
