Just curious tell me your pro's and con's about your double cab long bed. I think eventually i may go back to a Tacoma but i would do a long bed this time. the five ft bed was good for about nothing. I love the power of my full size truck but i did like the size of my Tacoma.

U-turns and parallel parking suck. But then again, it's a truck not a Smart car.

Otherwise, it's all pros. More haulin' and more ballin'.

Navigating tighter trails and it has a lower break over angle. But that hasn't kept me from exploring where I want to. The key is to go with someone in a full size truck so you feel way more nimble.

For me its this. I bought the Tacoma DCLB over the Raptor because for the back country exploring I do the raptor was not well suited for. I constantly go on tight trails that the Raptor would have just been ridiculous on to try and maneuver (plus Toyota reliability and build quality was a huge deciding factor for me). And then add in the long bed and it makes it way more usable as an overland/exploration rig for me (I sleep under the softopper). Also it is my daily driver too and didn't want to deal with the full size truck width in and around the downtown area where I work.

I prefer to have more bed space than not. Haul a lot of gear when I take the boat out on the weekends. Plus, long beds are a lot less common here in Hawaii (most prefer the short beds here).

Unless the driver plans to haul just a few grocery bags and a tiny cooler, then I guess a short bed will do the trick lol (No offense to the short bed owners though).

DCLBs just look more rugged imo.

DCLB because I can sleep in the back comfortably and still have my skis or snowboard slide straight in. Yeah turning radius sucks but u turns suck in general.

Well here’s mine. No real mods other than lift. Once I get back from this damn deployment I’m swapping over to 255/85R16’s. Love that tall and skinny look.

    I can do this:

    and this:

    and this:

It’s bigger than a short bed. But you know as well as the rest of us what the cons are of the LB, and that the SB just doesn’t work for what we want to do with our trucks.
