Are you stuck on UWS brand?
I saw a Kobalt (betterbuilt) one at Lowes today that was the black diamond plated low profile and it was only $219.
I thought about buying one but I don't like the low profile on a first gen Tacoma.

My only problem with Kobalt boxes is that I've been reading that most people have problems with the locks on them and I can't have that. I am more than willing to spend an extra 100 or so to get a really good one I know I will be happy with

Kobalt slim line black single lid toolbox at lowes item #314646 $218. Its made by betterbuilt with the Kobalt name on it.
It even has a picture on the front of the toolbox that shows it on a silver Tacoma.

Hello, I have a third gen (short bed) tacoma. Was interested in buying a UWS Low-Profile Tool Box. However do any of you snowboard? Can you fit in a snowboard with the tailgate closed? Board length is 159.
