    4wd or not, when driving on slippery roads (snow, ice, rain) the key is to drive appropriate to the conditions. Don't be an idiot and think that 4wd is going to bail you out. It won't.

    Yeah Going Usually isn't the problem in snow and icy conditions. Stopping is where most people have there problems and every car on the road has breaks on all for wheels. The main key is not to panic stop and the best way to do that is to go slow.

    An open diff is better for slippery roads than a locked diff.

    Agreed. I would only lock the diff if I couldn't get moving then once I got rolling unlock and go.

    You either have a true limited slip diff, or you have TRAC. The true LSD is better than auto LSD, but both help on slippery starts.

    I grew up driving in this shite. I grew up with 4x4. I'm used to it. 2wd trucks are a rare breed up here, and I would never own one.

    My 2008 had LSD, but my 2012 has some sort of skid control. I see no real difference on slick roads, although I preferred the LSD in off road conditions.

    I still hate ABS.

    The ABS will try to kill you.

    My buddy had a 4x2 here for a winter. He had it stacked full of green logs and had good tires. It still couldn't get to the ski hill a lot of days.

    Update: I am very impressed with my tires, the revo 2s are very sticky. However the abs scared the hell out of me. Lol
