I'm a botanist, spend a lot of time outside:

I spent my Saturday at a brewery opening.

 

I spend most of my time in the office either designing or doing construction administration duties, (but I don't have pictures of that). What I enjoy is going to my sites checking on the projects under construction. Like a big boy in his sand box...

 

What types of things do you design?

 

CAT wheels. 5k lbs each...

 

Wildlife biologist. we drag nets and count things! we see it all from huge to microscopic. ill see if I can find anymore.

haha oh if people only knew how many rays swim around them day to day at the beach... we've had multiple people get hit on out project. pretty much always puts them in the hospital with massive tissue damage/nerve damage. we have a tendency to pull them up in schools. it gets pretty hairy on the back deck. we have some spines on them that exceed 8". some have up to three of those bad boys swinging around.

I do mostly roadways and stormwater design. I'm also the construction manager for the office, and that covers all the projects we do; roadways, utilities, subdivisions.

Nice, good to see someone wearing their FR gear.

 

Last summer's rebuild of one of our substations. We fabed and installed all the steel structures and the aluminum buss work.

 

Ductile iron foundry. We cast parts for various suspension lifts. Make replacement tundra spindles and even strange Dana 60 center sections. Among a lot of other things.
