Thanks! Yeah it’s just a huge empty void. Perfect for this sort of thing.

I trimmed a faceplate usually designed to mount in a police center console and bolted it to the headliner. Fits great.

That was one of my early mods to my truck. It’s weird how that feeling goes out the window after you get to a certain point with the build. I’ll cut something, drill a hole, or whatever without thinking twice about it now.

I also used a Dremel to cut the headliner. Way easier.

I have a few of these DPDT Cole Hersee 58027-03 rocker switches in use for auto and manual modes for front and rear aux lights. Look oem, match my oem fog light switch.

Hey man, I know this is an old post but I see you’re still active. What radio bracket did you use (I have the same radio)? I have Paranoid fab bracket but the radio bracket is some plastic crap. Appreciate any advice!

I want to say its just some generic metal bracket, I dont really remember if I bought at a stereo store or not. But I am running the paranoid fab bracket for the switches and have had zero issues.

Truck came with the Kenwood and some cheap plastic bracket so I’ll buy the oem one and see if it fits! Thanks!

20230726_101721.jpg I posted this in another thread, but here are 3 switches mounted into a shifter knob on a manual transmission that came from a M1 Abrams tank for ranging & firing IIRC. No one has posted anything like it that I have seen yet!

Bonus question: what is the green bag on the right side of the transmission tunnel?
I have always carried one in all my vehicles of the last 35 years, just not this one.

The real question is are the switches functional and what do they control?

All switches are functional & marked as to what wires go to what switch. The switches are not designed to carry much current, but to actuate relays that do the work. They also have adjustable set points to make sure you get connection when you actuate the switch & not frantically smashing the actuators when you don't get a function that you are expecting.

Auxbeam switch panel in the headliner. Really cleaned up the amount of wires through the firewall.

Any more pics of this setup? Where’s the little mount/case thing from? This setup is very clean!

Thanks! Yep as mentioned below is that magnet mount for the auxbeam switch panel. What you can't see is a bracket I made that supports it on the roof side of the headliner. Gives its the support so it doesn't move when buttons are pressed.
