Love the Century...born the same year as me. There is a nice one for sale here locally, but the guy wants $1400. The prices asked on any decent 39 are getting silly. Yours is in beautiful shape for a 50 year old .22.

Nice. I really like the 77/XX actions. Such a solid and good looking design. I have two 77/22s (LR and Magnum), and a 77/44. I passed on a 77/17 (WSM) this spring, and have regretted it ever since.

Please, just stop. I sold my Golden 39A years ago, that my folks bought for me in 1968. I've regretted it ever since, and not because it is worth more that the $85 it cost. :(

Here's my CZ 457 Varmint MTR with the Lothar Walther .17 HM2 barrel. The glass is a Burris Timberline 4.5-14 X 32. This scope has an adjustable objective down to 7 (!) yards, and 1/8 MOA clicks...just what the Dr. ordered for rimfire use. The rifle is great off a bench or bi-pod, but a little heavy for off-hand use...

CZ 455 Stainless .17 HMR, in a CZ 455 American 'Red' Beechwood stock. I don't usually like colored wood, but this combo looks good. The glass is a Nikon Prostaff 5, 3.5-14 X 40 with side focus.

Winchester 9422 XTR Classic - I honestly didn't even know it was such a nice gun in the 1980's when I bought it.
Ruger 1022 SS Walnut - slightly older model that I bought new from a home FFL who was closing his shop and had like 10 of them in storage for some years.

Okay...here are the brothers from another mother that were in the very back of the safe. One a Steven’s model 87D the other a Savage model 6A. Both tube fed semi/single shot 22lr’s with vented receivers and lockable bolts. One I bought in 1986 at a church yard sale, the other given to me by a great uncle just before he died a few years back. They shoot well but only the Steven’s is dovetailed and currently scope mountable.

I also have light and dark 'brothers', but these ones are from the same mother...I posted them a while back. They are Brno model 581 semis from the early 60's...

Those are nice! Like I said in my earlier post, I love the fit and finish of Czech firearms.

Yes...the synthetic model. Would want to swap the stock along with barrel.

I had that same thought. If you go with the synthetic, and re-stock it (in wood or laminate), you will need a trigger guard/bottom metal as well. It is part of the stock on the 457 synthetic. If you were planning a 'chassis' build, you're probably covered.
