It’s a stock CZ 457 Varmint Precision Trainer MTR with a Area 419 30 MOA rail under an Athlon Cronus. I just got my BScar trigger in today. It’s a single stage 3 oz pull. I bought it for a different CZ 457, but I’m going to put it in this one.8EF3DA6D-AABE-4821-B4CB-D30E4BF26605.jpg

Trying to find a Cz 457 American in 22mag, either local or on GA or GB.
    Things seem hard to find.

I've noticed the same...most of the ones I've seen are .22 LR or .17 HMR. Weird. If you really have a hard time finding one, you could buy a .17 HMR, and get a .22 WMR barrel from CZ USA (or aftermarket). Then you'd have a switch-barrel gun. The swap is very easy and only takes a few minutes. WMR and HMR use the same magazine and no mag well spacer, so a barrel is the only thing needed. IIRC, The barrel kit from CZ was under $150 and included the barrel, a spare magazine, and the Allen keys needed for the barrel and magazine well. Just another option to consider...

Sad story...I sold a CZ in .22 WMR tonight (452 Varmint). I will miss her. To help myself get over the loss, I came home with a 453 Varmint (essentially a 452 with a set trigger) in .17 HMR, and a Winchester Model 52 B (.22 LR). I gotta get posting here again...

Yes, Nylon 66. I guess you could say it is one of the first polymer guns made. The Golden 39A is what you could say is the longest run for a production .22 rifle. Both run like clocks and have never had an issue. My brother and I have owned both my father bought them for us when we were 13 in the mid 70's.

I remember seeing the ads for the Nylon 66 when I was a kid, and thankfully my dad bought a Golden 39A, and I inherited it. I'll never sell that one...lol

You do know what the 66 goes for today? This rifle is known for being indestructible when it comes to the weather or salt air.

No idea, but more than I would pay for one...lol I'm happy with my Golden 39A and Ruger 10-22. I'll eventually buy a .22 bolt action rifle down the road...
