All three rifles are spectacular in how well engineered they are, and the proof is always in the results. The Anschutz is the star of the show, and never misses a beat. The Zephyr II can hold it's own right alongside the Anschutz; shot for shot. But the CZ 457 is no slouch at all. Here are some typical groupings at 50 yards.

The ammo is a big part of the end results. I always have great results with CCI Stinger high velocity cartridges and Eley Biathlon is always a treat to shoot with also.

So that's clearly a standard lower, what all needs to be done differently for it to run a .22lr upper. Also, what are the details on the upper?
Basically tell me all about it b/c I'm debating on building a short barrel .22lr upper for an sbr lower I have and sell my 15-22.

Brand new gun with lots of aftermarket mods cz457

 

Nice piece of walnut! Shame they cover it up with that nasty brown stain. It's hard to go wrong with a CZ (or BRNO). I have a CZ 452 Varmint that shoots like that. I'm envious of the DIP parts...I've tried to order some a few times, but they will not ship to Canada.
I'm hoping to pick up a 'new' rimfire myself tomorrow...a hard to find Ruger 77/17 in .17 mach 2.

I’m really impressed with my basic CZ457 American. It’s good for 1” groups @100 yards with Ammo it likes. It’s got a great feel. What barrel is that? I don’t usually modify guns, but this is one I will probably spend some money on. It feels like it has a ton of potential to be even better than it already is.

What caliber? And what does one do with 5 rifles of the same type?

 

Remington 513T

 

We used those on the H.S. rifle team. Shot 5 days a week. 3 targets, 10 shots a target at 50 feet, 0-10 pts each target, 3 positions, standing, kneeling and prone. Never could brake 250. We did have some who could get to 270+. Nice rifle.

 

I have a Rem 510-P and a 521-T. The 521 has that same Lyman sight on it. (Another Lyman 48S on a Sprgfld '03.)

Same. HS Rifle team. Shot 50' indoors, 3 days a week. NRA targets. Competed around the country. Found one of my plaques recently:
