is there a way to close that gap between the tail lamp and bumper? looks to me the whole thing needs to go up a inch or more and it would look a lot better

I don't have the factory trailer wiring to say for sure, but it looks like it would work. And I like the ability to retain the factory license plate lights.
I also like how wide the internal tube is.
No problem, the pictures help out a lot.
I like how the CBI sliders are no drill, but I didn't see an option for a fill plate.

The bumper cannot be adjusted up any higher. If it was, the bumper would contact the tailgate when it is lowered.
And some of that gap is used when the swing out option is attached
I'm actually happy the bumper is not too close to the tail lights, I've all ready broken one of them when I bumped it with a couch.

IMG_2261.jpg IMG_2258.jpg Here is an ARB. I don't think it sticks out as far as it looks in some of the pictures you see online.

The new grill will be way more than the bumper guard and grill swap. I can't speak to install, but for a new grill it should be about 30min depending on how removing the tabs goes. Don't forget that with the Fab Four bumper, you're also shelling out $$ for LED pods as well...and a light bar (unless you want that gap or can order it without)

As for install price, I would just ask a local shop. I feel the bulk of work is taking the OEM bumper off with all it's stupid tabs and doing any required cutting. Aftermarket ones are bolt on and are installed easier than taking off the OEM one? I'm just guessing as I have no experience in going one myself. Hope that kind of helps :p

Unfortunately the Toyota design with its big nose forces ARB to make their bumper more "C" shaped than "I" shaped. Definitely sticks out, not as bad as the pictures but worse than any other vehicle. Love ARB though.

To me the Tacoma nose extends out about 12" too far already.

Yep, I would certainly agree with you on the Toyota designed big nose.

Love the ARB but not a fan of the approach angle on them. Working on my own version currently will have the same basic brush guard but will have 2-3" less over hang.

Be sure to post a picture of the final product. I would love to see it. Sounds like the perfect combination.

I do love that bumper..... Could you take a photo from the top of it looking down? I wonder in comparison to the factory bumper how far it sticks out from the grill. Also, how does the approach angle compare on that bumper vs other vs factory? I really want to see one in person to see what they are like.

Any plan for the front? I know your rear wasn't exactly planned. Good looking bumper though; it is very clean.

I will take a few more pictures this week and get some measurements. Another guy asked for some measurements anyway. One nice thing is, you will not have to pull it all off if you decide to put a winch on at a later date. The skid panel drops out and gives full access to the winch area. This will be perfect since I picked up the winch after the fact.

That is a nice feature. Do you have to cut at all when you install it?
