Let's see your Base Model!

here is my base model, bought it super cheap 3 years ago and have slowly modified it. Have added TRD seats, intermittent wipers, fog lights etc from the TRD for a lot less $$$ than a fancy tacoma would have cost infact I even have sr5 visors now. Only thing I haven't got around to yet is cruise control which I really should get around to.







Will have some new flat black rims and 33" mtz's next week

 

I had a "base model" 4x4 reg cab back in the 1980's before the Tacoma...

Had a 2010 SR5 4x4 dc...

just bought a 2012 TRD Sport 4x4 dc...

all are nice trucks...base trucks sometimes are cool, the less is more thing.

but this TRD Sport I just got...holy crap, this thing is sweeeeet!

 

That a satoshi? Been wanting badly to see a base with those!

Loving the trucks in this thread. The base models are like a blank canvas, ready for anything you can think of...

Big plans for mine too, though it's hard to tell by the small amount of work I've done so far: Fog lights, painted front bumper, new grill from a TRD sport, intermittent wiper switch, TSB leaf packs, back-up cam, weathertech liners, tonneau, TRD cat-back exhaust.

Wheels/tires and suspension are next... hopefully.

Yeah it is! I have not seem many base models with the satoshi.

 

I love that red with the black flares and bumpers. I almost bought a 4cyl AC that looked like that before I bought mine. It's a shame they don't have that color anymore.

 

They don't? When did they stop doing Barcelona red?

 

Oh, I thought that was the radient red. I'm using a pretty ancient LCD and the colors aren't quite right.

 

Yeah Radiant Red is pretty too. I'm more of a metallic paint type of gal so I was lucky when they had this one. As a matter of fact, this truck was the last one with the black. It's a base but it has the "convenience package" that has power windows, locks, alarm, back up sensors, tow, and cruise.

Mine had 400. Wasn't too happy about that since I'm the first owner. They brought it from up North.

 

Yes. My dealer had a truck that someone up North wanted so the dealer up there drove mine down and traded for the one the customer wanted.

 

I've bought trucks w/ a few hundred on them before...usually a trade from another dealer and driven in.

Last week I looked at a TRD OR that had 240miles on it (in from an Alabama dealership)...

but ended up with a new TRD Sport...fresh off the carrier w/ only 2 miles on the ODO when I did my test drive. Woot!
