    :( glad to hear you're doing better now. A few days ago a woman on a cell phone (go figure) changed lanes in the middle of an intersection while I was pulling out. To avoid being a hood ornament I had to slam the brakes, causing the bike to drop (it was raining)

    I think maybe a couple rails to trails exist in FL. One that I know of is about 2 hours away so not convenient. There's some decent off-road riding fairly close by but riding on-road is a different story. You put your life at risk here in FL. And I know, was hit and run 3 years ago while out training on a backroad. F'd me up good. I was a multiple trauma. Had to learn how to walk again after 3 months of not being able to. I think FL is either #1 or #2 in bicycle related deaths. I would have thought it would be a little better outside of Birmingham for riding. I went to college in Tuscaloosa but I wasn't into the sport back then. Now they are having world class triathlon events there.

    wow, man that's a beautiful bike. how often do you ride? i got a cannondale synapse 5 a couple months ago and have been trying to get a 100 miles a week in. its pretty hard though with work and all the other stuff that fills the day.:mad:
