Last week. Way down South. Too remote to walk out of. Spent 3 days exploring in 4wd. Brought hoses, belts, fluids, a cv, ball joints and universal joints. Snapped the weld off of a Bilstein. <edit: When I changed it out, I noticed that it's shaft had unscrewed itself from the bottom. Also noticed the other shock was blown.> We tent camped. Can't get my Brother's 4x4 Class C in there!

IMG_4293.jpg Not the most luxurious, but very simple and functional. Coleman cooler lol, two-burner stove, mattress cushion left over my dorm. The camper is about 3-4" taller than the cab of the truck, but the sleeping platform is just tall enough to slide those big black and yellow bins so the sleeping quarters are a bit tight.

Yep. Sorry, but to keep the vanlifers/overlanders (!) who like to post GPS tracks and identifiable locations to promote themselves out, no names, no pictures of points shall be exposed. That's how the spots have become over run in the last 5 years or so. It was fun. Cost me both rear shocks, the driveshaft and a MAF. (We rattled the airbox loose). Took lots of beer and gasoline in cans...The pic above is from one of the more well know spots, the end of our first days drive. This one is on the way out. If you've been there, you'll recognize it. Nearly all the other photos reveal too much. 5 miles away, the graded road ends. We did 950 miles in 4 days. 200 in 4wd.

Just bought this Wildernest for my taco. Bought it sight unseen a couple months ago and finally got it put on now. Needs some TLC but looking forward to building it out and cleaning it up.

I know this is a older post ,but it's quite the greenery collection you have in the back .
I guess I never posted my set up.
It's a ARE cap with a carpet kit in the back. It will fit a exped duo mega mat ,wich makes for a pretty comfy nights sleep. It's not the fastest to set up and take down, but it allows me to keep a lot of my weight down low. So the truck is really stable even when fully loaded. 20210912_083340.jpg 20220317_183710.jpg 20210612_065654.jpg 20210622_193804.jpg

I have a similar setup, and I absolutely love it. I have toolboxes on the sides, and I have been thinking of taking one off so I can get some more fresh air.

It's nice for the fresh air or to be able to reach in and grab stuff fron the front of the bed.
I made some screens to help keep bugs out too.
