Black and white would be Lt. Pete Mitchell (Maverick) and Lt. Nick Bradshaw (Goose). They literally do everything together. Got them about a year apart.

Actually, according to my vet (smart as fuck), canned food is the best for cats. It has high moisture and proteins. But you can't leave it out like dry food so every time I feed my cat it he begs all day for it. Annoying as hell.

Dry food here.... Better than wet for dental health I think. :notsure: The only time my cat gets "wet food" is when I'm having a tuna sandwich and I drain the juices from the can into a bowl for him. He loves that stuff! :D

My cat loves tuna! He will eat a whole can if I let him. Ham, ice cream, butter, bread, english muffins, saltine crackers, corn, etc. I've caught him eating all kinds of things I leave out for a while. Oops.
If I leave hamburger buns on the counter he gets them and bites through the bag and eats chunks out of each bun very methodically.

Dry food here as well. The canned food has too much ash content and will lead to a UTI. Our vet told us to get rid of the canned food. We use Hills Science Diet food.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Dry food mainly with canned food for occasional treats...1-3 small cans a week. 15 years good health so far.

Yeah it's not a bad idea. Once your cat gets old and smart he will know when it's feeding time and remind you each night.
PETA alert: Sometimes I just want to swing my cat in a pillowcase. It's so annoying that I cut him off cold turkey. 2 weeks later and he's still pissed.

That's funny... our vet advised the other way, but did caution that they needed dry food to maintain their teeth.

We had one cat that got a UTI once. Vet gave him a shot and we went with dry foods that did not have fish products and never had a problem since.
He'll be 19 in a couple of months, and hasn't eaten dry food in a couple of years because his teeth are so far gone. He'd try, but wouldn't chew it and would end up puking hairballs loaded with the dry food.

Same here. My cat is a grazer so he eats often and gets fat so the vet said canned food is less fatty and digests into protein better. I tried it for a while.

@ my house we split one can a day of canned food between 3 cats (morning), and leave dry food out for the rest of the day (usually a half bowl - full bowl between them).

    Been there LOL

Same here. Cat goes to food bowl looks at me and meow's. If that does not work then he goes to the cubbord where the food is kept looks at me and meow's.

    Go figure.

All I know is that a UTI is an expensive deal to fix. Cat should be glad I love him. ;)

Ponce got a UTI pretty bad a few months back. Sucker hid it really well from us too & it almost took him out.
Few hundred worth of vet bills later he was good a new in a few days.

This is Indie.... he seems to have a self esteem issue. I keep finding him in the garbage.
