Nice Brandon. Cats have a way of growing on you. Amigo is my 1st cat I have ever had. I would be hard pressed to have another dog. Another cat in a heartbeat.

Aww. That's so sad. But maybe have hope. I have an indoor-outdoor cat (whichever HE decides at the moment) who disappeared last year. I've had him for 10 years and that had never happened before. After a month, I tried to start accepting it, but then after 6 weeks, he showed up one day. Hair coming out in patches, covered in oil, claws ripped to shreds, and splinters in his belly and armpits. Now I'm paranoid about when I let him out and we're both having to deal with it. I hope the best for you!

it’s still gone. last seen monday morning when parents feed it and it did not eat. food can’t be left out over night, raccoons and opossums come and get the food and the cat just sits and watches them. it’s more moms cat not mine. like i said in another post i can’t even touch it without my hand/arm getting itchy and starting to turn red.

they only come up at night, illegal to shoot after dark... and there is more than one of each.. not going to sit out every night all night. easier to just take the food inside, it stays out all day just not at night.

Neglected to post this here Friday...

Malcom's last minutes. The catheter was in his arm and the doc left us with him for a few minutes.
We told them that if anyone from the kennel staff wanted to say goodbye, they were welcome to. A few came in and appreciated it.

20 good years. Wife was talking about getting another one even before we went to the vet. Told her that I don't want another one... Malcom can't be replaced.

    So sorry Rich. :(
I took about a 6 year intermission between kitties after my girl fluffy passed at 16.
They can never be replaced for sure.
I did however find myself wanting another furry friend later on.

I know what you are saying.

When we rescued Ponce & Augi it was different at first but we were just married so they were like our "kids" before we had them.

I haven't checked in on 40+ since I took a few weeks off. That is one of the threads that just takes too much time to go through... so many posts I no longer have time to stay current.

Thanks guys. This isn't the first one we've had to put down or lost. At one point we had 6 cats. This guy was the first and oldest. Each had their own personalities, but this guy was more like a dog than a cat.
He'd sleep between our pillows and rest his head and a paw on my elbow.
When I came home, he'd always run downstairs "talking" to me just like a dog.

Malcom was a rescue and you gave him the best life he could have. When the time comes another rescue would be a great thing. Amigo was a rescue as well. There are times I believe he knows he is living a great life. So much better off than the dumpster he was found in as a kitten.
