It is with a very heavy heart that and I begin the next phase in life that does not include our beloved and larger than life Breezy after we lost her to cancer yesterday. A Maine Coon in every sense except that she didn't like water since it was, in her opinion, only for drinking. For nearly 15 years, Breezy comforted us through rough times with the passing of 's parents, two of her siblings, my dad, and many rough years with the Cubs and Vikings ( although she could have cared less about sports ).

To help her cross the Rainbow Bridge, I held her in my arms the way that she preferred to be held and she purred like a finely tuned Harley Davidson motorcycle as she always did while made sure that Breezy was looking at her mamma as she had done so affectionately for so many years.

Of the many things that made you uniquely you, we'll remember these in the
most fondest way:

- Your love of KFC, running to the kitchen to verify we had it, then running the table and sitting in your chair waiting for your share.

- At nearly 20lbs, climbing the Christmas tree and knocking it over ( which I missed on video by mere seconds ).

- Challenging Angel for the top of the Kitty Condo and forcing a surrender to share the space.

- Cuddling next to mamma at night and securing an available lap during the day.

- Chasing laser lights.

- Your love of ribbons from mamma's flowers and chasing them around the house.

- Chewing on your feather toys until they no longer fluttered, then looking at pappa asking for new one.

Rest in peace Breezy as your pain, discomfort, and struggle is gone, You can now play with Angel again and make Heaven sound as if two elephants were running everywhere.
You are already missed and the hole in our hearts won't be filled until we meet you again when you greet us in Heaven.

Oh man, that just broke my heart reading that. So very sorry for your loss. They give us many years of love, thank you for being there for her in her final moments. I've done that for many of my furry companions, never easy but I always knew it was the right thing to do. I took care of them for many years and did it on their final day too.
