    For those that have lost their loved little fur balls to ones that are waiting for results, so sorry to hear. :pray::pout:

    I was never a "cat person" up until about 2yrs ago due to my brother passing away and, more or less, having to adopt his cat because nobody wanted her. I realistically couldn't take her in as my own because of the "apt rules", but thank the Lord I was able to do so.

    Anyways, I LOVE my little turd ball and can't even begin to imagine losing her!!! :oops:

    How about at 11:59 PM tonight everyone lift a glass to say one final goodbye to all of our loved ones that we lost this past year ESPECIALLY OUR BELOVED FELINE FAMILY MEMBERS! There have been too many listed here this past year including my GROVER and her sister LUCY months later.

    I couldn’t agree more. It seems like we’re always mourning some kind of loss or tragedy. My wife’s best friend lost her daughter in a plane crash this year and getting through the holidays has been tough on those who knew and loved her. We’ll definitely make a toast to all the 2 and 4 legged loved ones we’ve had to say goodbye to this year.
    Happy New Years everyone. Hope 2023 is great to all of you and your families.

    When my Bellatrix died we all sat around the table and told our favorite stories about her. From the every day things like how she laid under the covers with her head on my shoulder every night to the truly unique how the hell could it happen stuff. I'd like to share with y'all one of my favorite Bellatrix stores.

    Bellatrix loved to play. Anything that she could smack that would move would become her toy. She had a favorite cat fishing rod with a bell and some shiny streamers, but this story is not about that favorite toy. No, one Christmas someone got a gift that was all tied up with a shiny gold string. Bellatrix loved the shiny gold string. She played with it for weeks. She'd carry it around, bring it to us to dangle for her, and generally her string was her best friend.

    One day Bellatrix came running through the house meowing. This was unusual for Bellatrix. She ran a lot but she never meowed. She wouldn't stop but I could tell something was wrong so I chased her all over until I finally figured out what the problem was. Her favorite toy, the golden string, had become a meal. Fortunately - and I didn't know at the time not to let cats play with strings - it passed through her. But it was stuck in her bum and the string was chasing her. The tables had turned and she did not like it. We were laughing so hard we were crying and Bellatrix was not amused, but we helped clear it the rest of the way and she was ever so grateful. I'll never forget my Bellatrix running through the house with a golden string hanging out of her ass and a look on her face like WHY IS IT CHASING ME?!?

    So anyway, don't let your cats play with string. My story ended up with a happy ending but in some cases it can get caught in their insides and cause significant damage up to and including death. She has been gone for over 5 years now but I still say out loud at least once every day 'I love Bella'. I think it keeps me sane.
