Let's See Your Cats!!!

Well after our 11yo kitty died from cancer, we thought our younger cat would like a friend. But we figured we’d try to get a bonded pair in case she hates them, they have each other and she can live her happy life.




So a couple days ago we got these two, about 6mo old. Think their names are going to be Queso and Ember. They are currently living in the wife’s home office for a bit.

We will be gradually introducing them to Tabitha. She hisses under the door at the moment.

 

Starting the new year off comfortable

 

Mr. Copper usually lays on top of his kitty nest but tonight it’s under the nest. I asked him to explain it but he indicated it is far beyond hooman understanding, didn’t want to waste his time.

 

Today Mr. Copper is in (not under)the kitty nest. Far beyond this hoomans ability to understand when one should be under the nest and when one should be in the kitty nest. But he rules the house, I am but
a servant.

Never seen all three cuddling together, EVER! They woke up as I took the pic but they were all lying heads down and sleeping when I walked in.

 

This guy is getting into his twilight years but still is super soft.

Want to pet the kitty!

 

Here’s one of our outdoor rescues enjoying the sunshine after a cold night- his name is Graham Cracker. We T-N-R’ed him as a feral and he chose to continue staying with us. He has tamed up enough and now loves his people, but in general he is not good with other cats.

We lost our dog Chancho last night he was around 18 years old

I have never seen a cat mourn and search for a dog like this.

Paul I’m so sorry to hear this!!!! It is such a special thing when a cat and dog form a bond like this. We had a similar scenario with our late Siamese Max and Rottweiler Luther. They loved each other like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It sure looks like Chancho lived the best life possible. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
