I just had to take my Stanley cat to the vet. He's been throwing up and hiding, not eating or drinking, just barfing up yellow bile. I dropped him off so they can take an x-ray and do some blood work. They are going to squeeze him in between appointments. He's only about 6 or 7 years old. But I know the symptoms are not good. Saturday he ripped all the thread off my girls sewing machine, I'm actually hopefully that's what it is and not some horrible disease that's not treatable. He's my boy, very worried right now.

Cheddar got his annual shots yesterday. I like the Vet, but never see her anymore ‘cause they’re still doing the Covid protocol. Guy comes out to the car and takes the cat inside. I dislike that so much, I might get a different Vet.

Before COVID our old vet changed to a system where you and your pet go in the room and then a vet tech takes the animal and they do all their stuff. You finally see the vet for a few minutes at the end and then off to pay the bill. I hated that and we switched to a different vet.

Really like her (new vet). She comes in at the beginning and talks to you first and then examines our pet in the room with us and she normally is asking questions or we are telling her more info. Much better process for us!

At this point in time that’s ridiculous. I’d definitely find a different vet. Since critters can’t talk it’s important you and your vet work together as a team to help them, heal them and make decisions. Out vet did that during the height of Covid but went back to normal quite awhile ago.

Praying that it’s something simple and easily resolved. Trust me… I know how hard it is when they’re sick!!!! We’ve had an extremely trying last couple of months here ourselves.

Stanley is in surgery now. Several feet of his intestines are full of thread, part of it is still in his stomach. Apparently he pulled a bunch of thread off of one of my Betty's sewing machines. Waiting on the call now.

Im feelin for you. We had to bring one of ours in because she ate a string if rick rack (think wavy shoe sring). They had to operate and they pulled out 3 feet of the stuff. It was expensive, but what ya gonna do? she is fine, but we are double careful as to what is left lying around.

The vet called, he's gonna be ok. He had thread wrapped around his tongue all the way to his colon. Just 2 small incisions and no intestin resections. The vet expects a full recovery and he might come home tomorrow. I'm so relieved.

The vet called, they are going to keep him one more day. He ate a little but not a lot. They gave him an appetite pill and they'll give him another one in the morning. They just want to see him eat a little more. They still have him on iv fluids, which is good.
He's probably a little freaked out being away from me and in a strange place, he hasent been out of my house since I had hi neutered.
