Please post an update when you know more or get him home. Nothing I hate more than leaving a cat at the vet. I guess with a human child you can tell them everything’s gonna be ok but cats I don’t think have that level of comprehension.

Vet called me this morning and he's doing better, eating, drinking, and he pee'd. He comes home today after work. He'll do much better at home in his own environment where he can rest and heal up. He was a feral so he doesn't do well with strangers. Only other time he was out of the house since I took him in was when he got neutered. Food at the vet is probably a little strange too.

Stanley's home. All the other cats are freaked out and nowhere to be seen. I don't know if it's the vet smell or the cone. I did get him to eat a little so that was good.
    The cone of shame.
    20230216_173137.jpg
Hes telling me all about it. Get this thjng off of me!
    20230216_173135.jpg
And now he's in his favorite place, between my legs in bed.
    20230216_175056.jpg
He's gotta wear the cone for 2 weeks until I take him back to get the stitches removed. If it stays on, .out cats figure out how to get it off, he's already pawing at it.

Thinking about rescuing a cat, could be interesting seeing how it goes with my 2 senior pups.

    Are the pups mellow?

Pick a super mellow cat that knows dogs.

We've not had problems with that in mind - all our critters are rescues.

Every once in a while, when her head is turned in a certain position, the light is just right and her pupils are contracted, her eyes look like this. Most of the time they are just a normal green and the detail is not seen.

Oliver is 10 months old and was found at a rest stop last year. He was .9lbs and estimated to be 4 weeks old. He’s just shy of 11lbs now and still growing. Her call him spy vs spy or the terrorist.

orange tabby is Donald and his Uncle Chance. Chance fell into our dumpster when he was about 7 weeks old and has been spoiled since. He’s 19lbs and Donnie is 16lbs.

Ali (grey tabby) and her brother Felix (black medium hair)were the first two. The plan was to stop at one, and then life happened.

Here's my little office assistant, I work from home, and she hangs out with me in here for most of the day.

Her name is Monster, but it's spelled REMY.

I'm told her name is spelled Remy, but we call her Monster, she's been named that for 8 years now. She just recently took up living in my office the past couple of weeks. I think she likes the warmth in here. Gaming PC, Work Laptop, and two large monitors putting off heat.
