He was actually getting bullied by another cat. No way we were leaving him today with that. He is a sweetheart.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Check out my rescue Sammy. I found this kitten or rather it called to me from the top of a dead oak in my neighbors yard.
It stayed up in that tree for 5 days and wasn’t coming down, it had gotten so weak and dehydrated it couldn’t call out anymore.
I go nuts when I see anything in distress, especially a baby, so I did what I had to.

Found some guys with a boom truck to help me pick it out of the top of a the tree. Of course when the bucket got up there, the cat freaked and jumped out of a 60’ tree.
It whacked a few branches on the way down, enough to slow its fall down and with a thud it landed near my feet. Tried to catch it, but no dice.
He came into our home that day, and lived with us for 5 years :)

it broke my heart when he passed away young, as he threw a blood clot and his back legs stopped working.

Holy Fuck!!! It tore me apart to watch him in that state. I put him down quickly to end his suffering, but Jesus it may have been one of the hardest things I did.

To Sammy, one of the best cats I had the pleasure to kick it with. You are missed by the entire family, especially his best friend my pup Huck.

Last pic is just tough to look at, they had a ball together. Never seen a dog act this way with a cat. They would rough house and follow each other around the property.

Thanks man, it’s been awhile since it happened. I am sure another will find its way into our lives :)
He truly was the sweetest cat. One call was all it took to get him running like mad for your affection. He would nuzzle his way up under your chin when you went to sleep…he always looked so content.

While the loss of a loved pet is painful, it’s all part of living. I don’t get caught up in it, instead I honor them with funny stories and helping other animals in need. Who knows, maybe I will see him again one day.

Lana's brother Sterling died the same way. It was not an easy night.

I hope you meant to say that y'all spent 5 years together, not 5 hours. He looks like a happy little booger.

Good catch, that needs an edit. It was 5 awesome years. It’s ironic how sometimes the spell check on here can completely change the tone of what you intended.

My Stanley is doing well since the surgery. He's grooming himself the best he can with the cone on. Eating and drinking normal now. He's back to following me around wherever I go and talking to me. Lays on me and just purs away. He's gonna be fine. The other cats really don't like his cone, they all growl and hiss at him.

Glad to hear he is improving and acting normal again as much as can be. Cone will be off soon!
