Should just grab extra bags when I go out instead of buying expensive cat trees.

 

I have cat trees all over the place and as soon as a plastic bag is set down. You turn around and Sqeeky is in it just sitting, watching.

 

It at least gets occasional use.

 

Never wants me to leave.. either she curls up on my shoes or balls up in my hats lol

 

This is the last pic I took of Princess who was 17 years old. Unfortunately last October she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I miss her but just not ready for any other pet yet.

Sadly that may be true though we decided no pets except the beta fish for a while. There's a black cat that's been hanging around thats really beautiful unfortunately it isnt very friendly. Sadly seems like we have a bunch of strays in my neighborhood now. Some families got kicked out of rentals and turned their kitties out on the street. I don't know how any one can be cruel like that. I don't feel like I have the time with a major remodeling project to tame a cat. I would like to help them get to a shelter. We will see. When the time is right I'm sure I'll have a kitty again.

 

I wouldn't be so sure of that. It's easy to make a guess, but there are so many other explanations as to why there are stray cats, I wouldn't be so quick to lay blame on one group or class of people. For one explanation, stray cats will propagate where they are being fed, so either you or your neighbors are kindly providing food for them.
The last cat we lost was so loved, my wife tearfully said no more cats, but I knew better. She now loves our new cat as much as any we've had. There is no better medicine than to have a pet who depends on you.

 

Your explanation may be true or not. There seemed to be a coincidence with them showing up so soon after several families packed up and left. One of the cats I know I used to always see in the window across the street now someone new has moved in months later but the cat is still out there getting thinner.
I know not to feed them if I don't want them to stay. Other neighbors do put out Food. The problem with the strays is peeing around the outside of my house that seems to be happening.
I'm not able or willing to take in a few cats so we have been trying to trap them and take them to a shelter so they can find a safe home.
