He looks super fat in this picture. Chilling and sleeping now while saving up energy to come back and attack me later.

Unfortunately we found out our Bellatrix had a mass blocking her small intestine and she declined very fast since Sunday and stopped eating. She had just turned 14 on July 19th and it was surgery or put her down. She ended up having the surgery as it was not near vital organs but they removed the mass, rerouted her intestines and removed her spleen. Waiting on the biopsies, but she got through the surgery and will be home tomorrow. We were able to visit her and she kept trying to get off the cart they rolled her in the room with. She was very alert but we had about a 5 minute purr session then she was done with me as kept telling her no when she was trying to get down

Please tell all your cats to pray she does not have bad cancer in other organs and that she has a speedy recovery. My sons cats did a prayer circle and it seemed to work well.

She is always by my side when working she sits to the right of my computer next to my fathers flag. Can never get on the couch without her in my lap. The two other cats have been a little down with her gone as she was the first.

Shout out to the vets for taking good care of her. We took the money from the kids inheritance LOL. Bella was flying first class this week. Someone told my wife that we should fly first class or our kids will when we are gone. It resonated with me and so Bella flew first class during this long trying week.

Prayers to Bella and all your cats, I have been in this thread for many years and also trying to do something for all the cats that need to be rescued. If your cat is not fixed please get them fixed or adopt 10 cats to make up for it. There are free spay and neuter clinics.

Fingers crossed and prayers going her way that it’s a cancer free mass. I know all too well how you’re feeling right now and I can tell you that she’s likely
doing better than you are right now. They’re amazing little creatures and have a resilience that we’ll never be able to comprehend. Keep us posted with how her recovery is going.

    Will do thank you.

Yea Cancer sucks, we lost our friend this past Saturday to cancer. She was in her 50's and lost another friend to the same a few years ago she was 50. I was able to say goodbye to her on Friday and when we hung up on the phone she said goodbye to me. Thinking about that conversation it was so final when we hung up.

The cats are cool companions and become family. She used to sleep with my son until he moved out then became attached to my hip and would always hang out in my office. Even if she gets more time and not in the pain she was in it was all worth it. I will not let her suffer and I know the time will come I will have to say goodbye.

    Thanks for prayers!

This little girl is our store mascot, Aura. I work weekends at Aubuchon Hardware and this little devil follows me everywhere. She's about 10 months old and full of it. Just look at those eyes.

Both of these came up on FB memories this morning so I thought I’d share. I can’t get over what a big boy Ponce was! He was like 18lbs. in his prime. Boy do I miss that guy! Then Ollie as a kitten, pre-neuter, that got some funny comments. :D

enjoy & happy Sunday my fellow cat lovers.

Betty, super smart and somehow knows when that box shows up. The wrapped box behind her is last months delivery, she moves to the new box when it shows up.

She can’t see them, but she hears them hit the ground, her favorite toy.

Henry, arrived last December after living in a dog crate in a storage container for 7 months. He’s 18 and blind, but he’s settled in and is the ultimate lap cat, he’s permanent now.

Bella, moved to her new home last week after having her available for adoption for about 7 months, can be tough to find adopters for blind cats.

Okay my little guy loves to scratch. Hitting his posts pretty good. I need to find a way to fix/ beef back up scratching posts. Also get him off the furniture too. Hasn’t been to bad thankfully. Any recommendations are welcome.

Good luck. Mine will go straight past his scratching post and find furniture. He’s a dick.

Also, putting tin foil on the furniture you don't want him/her on may work.
I will say it did not work for my previous cats. We were expecting our son. Set up the nursery, crib and all the accessories. The cats kept jumping up and sleeping in the crib, we pit the tinfoil all over the crib and they didn't give a shit about it. Still climbed in to sleep. My wife, being the paranoid said we need to get rid of them, because they might harm the baby. Wife is completely out of her mind. I adopted 2 of 3 we had and had to put down the one that had kidney issues. This also went for the 2 dogs we had. That is a whole different story.:mad::mad:

When my Bellatrix - shout out to the other Bellatrix above; hope she's doing well - first came home from the shelter we had a problem with her scratching the furniture. We solved it by letting towels drape over the spots she would scratch. They'd fall on her and she wouldn't like it. Any time we caught her we'd take her to the post and put her claws on it. Then reward her with treats or love when she did a good scratch. It only took a couple of weeks of the negative / positive reinforcement and she never scratched the furniture again. She'd go through posts like they were her worst enemy though lol...new one every 6 months or so!
